I'm getting in to re texturing, so I should be able to do some for Skyrim soon. I've got vast knowledge of photoshop, so that isn't an issue. I'm just getting familiar with the way textures wrap around objects, and how to get them into the game.

I might start by trying something for the Knights of Riften (or whatever they're called) based on any ideas you guys have.

Based on what you guys have been saying, I'm thinking something like this:
Elven helmet (though made to look like steel).
Kvatch Cuirass - With Blue Surcoat w/ white coat of arms.
Steel Gauntlets, greeves and boots.
Big two handed swords :)

Could you start with this armor for your retexture? http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c23/qi...llHideArmor.jpg Its a troll hide armor with iron plates over top, combining the iron and legion armor would probably be a good starting place.

Well I'll have to see what I can do with nifskope tommorow. I don't have my laptop with me today, so you shall have to wait. I'm also not sure how to get the troll bit in, as there aren't any armours with that kind of thing currently, unless we maybe include some leather armour.

Actually, mentioning that, maybe ill try combining fur with something heavier like iron? I'll get to know the program and see what I can come up with.

For progress on what I originally said, I've taken the Kvatch emblem off the Surcoat. I'll make a blank studded one (like the Bruma ones), and have some recolours, then release them sometime this week(end).

I've also another idea for the knights of riften armour: how about combining the surcoat, with the steel pauldrons etc?

For the troll I think your best bet would be find a heavy armor that shows lots of chainmail and take the troll fur texture off the troll and put it on there.

Keep the decorations on your Order of the Silver Raven armor basic to begin with because we are going to have multiple sets of armor for the Order, and I'd like to see your's first to decide what rank in the order it would be good for. Steel pauldrons sound interesting, keep me updated with screens Wink

Here is my progress on the plain surcoats that I talked about in the first post. I'm currently working on the morph between the white one and steel armour.

What is the skyrim folder for meshes and textures going to be called? This is important, as I don't want to have to go back later and change all the texture references.

EDIT: Right, here are the steel/surcoat hybrids, tell me what you think. I'll do some more hybrid things a bit later. If you have any ideas, give me a yell.

The Skyrim folder for meshes and textures will be textures-->Skyrim-->Armor-->Insert Armor Name, same goes for meshes. Both look good so far, the steel one looks very unique. An idea you gave me from the retextured surcoats: though it would be a ton of work, wouldn't it be awesome if each knight had their own crest on their armor? Nothing elaborate, just a design, and when the player joins the faction he gets to choose from a list of crests for one for himself.

Considering the amount of work, Id be inclined to only have crests for upper ranks (aka nobles).

EDIT: REL of Surcoats:
