maybe there could be an appocyliptic cult that prophesizes the end of
the world? I mean when the "long winter" comes to Skyrim and everyone
dies except those in the cult who are supposedly "worthy"

Something that big would be more of a guild. And we have already decided on guilds. Think smaller for quests.

not necessarily, hackdirt was hardly a guild or anything substancial
and whats described sounds like it could almost be similar.

But what this "cult" is prophesing is the end of the world. Which is abit to much.

Hello TheGreatOrcUmbra and welcome to Skyrim for Oblivion!
There could be such a cult, but they wouldn't be overly important and
give validity to their claims of doom, if we wiped out Skyrim it would
surely conflict with lore in later games. However I do like the idea,
in Nordic Mythology there was a thing called "Fimbulveter" basically it
was a very long cold winter that took place before Ragnarok, and wolves
went out and devoured people. Currently central Skyrim is going through
hard times, long cold winter, and a "Witch Queen" has risen to power. I
could easily see a cult predicting doom popping up, and then a
questline given by Skyrim's Shamans to knock-them-off/silence them, as
they clearly believe the cults preachings to be blasphemous, not to
mention the cult is causing destabalization with their end of the world
claims, and thus lessening the influence of the Shamans(Order of Oak
and Thorn). |

Ahh but let's not forget Eno Romaari and the End of Times cult that
featured in Tribunal. He was my favourite NPC, mostly because he had a
cool white robe for me to loot off him. Surely we could have something
on that sort of scale, it was just a minor sidequest. |

It might be nice! The way Siegfried puts it, it seems to fit in well?
And of course, they would only prophesise nonsense and it would never
happen but cults prophesising things seems to rise whenever there is
trouble and change of power in lands...

But the thing is that it wasn't a minor side quest, it was part of the MQ.
If people are really into the idea, we could include it in the other
half of Skyrim when we make it, but as a misc quest it's to big.

Who says it can't be a misc quest? We can make it as big or as small as
we like. Personally, I think that this is a great quest idea, and would
add a lot to Skyrim in seeing the fanatical side of the nords.
Also, what's a guild got do do anything with this, it's not like you're actually going to destory the world? The bare bones is that you go in and kill a bunch of guys who want to blow stuff up.

maybe you could just kill them all for being a load of self righteous idiots, instead of having it as a big encounter
