Smokindan, check with Corwyn on the nord tileset (we only need a simple
ext and int for the excise office), and if he has something - even if
it's only an int, could you mod that. If he's not ready, we need a
simple cave int. Check the visual thread for ice cave statics, and just
use the ones that are being retextured. we can replace the walls and
add the ext entrance just before release on either of these places.
All: I'll put up a beta 01 this evening so that everyone can work off
the same file. I'm hoping we can have all of the ints in place by next
Monday, and do the dialogue, etc., the next week. I'm a little
concerned that we're cutting the quest implementation a bit short, but
this is the closest to "on time" I've ever seen a mod!

The reason why we are on time is because everyone is on the same page
and knows what they have to do, also we haven't had to many
disagreements over this.

OK! The first beta of Haerter's Gap is ready. There are an esm (for modding) and 2 esp's - one with and one without teleporting doors.
I'm slowly figuring out the glitchin the CS, but haven't been able to
fix it completely, nor do I know when or why it happens The current
version works fine on my machine (and I expect, TOYB's), but may still
have some problems on some of the rest. Feedback is very much
appreciated, such as a) can you load the esm and save workfiles without
all the retry stuff (actually, the header on the savefile gets
corrupted because of random(?) data at the end of the file); b) can you
"play" Haerter's gap, and save your game?; c) do your interiors have
all the "stuff" you put in them (my file dropped about 20k during my
working, but I couldn't find anything missing)?
That's all the time I have this evening. Enjoy the mod.

I'll post the tower tonight. It should be a mergible version, if not it
should be by tommorrow. Also I might add, you don't need to make ints
dependant on the master file, you can make them without, as I did with
my last int, it removes a lot of the hassle.

Wait, doesn't Alpha come before Beta, Alpha being internal, and Beta being almost public for testing?

Has anyone claimed the Dunmer Barracks? If not, I'll claim it.
I've PMed Corwyn about the tileset and watchinwheels about his .esp but
neither have replied. The ice cave is close to completion but Psych
still needs a bit more time, so I may as well do something constructive
Also, when saving with the beta .esm the "Retry" error comes up. My computer sucks so I can't really test it in game.

Sure, SD. I was going to do the Dunmer barracks myself, but never seem to get the time.
Well, at least I can fix the esp's so that I can merge them into the
beta. The first couple of times, I copy/pasted everything into a temp
esp before I could merge
. That probably took almost as long as making the things in the first
place. Now I'm trying to find out why the main file is being so bucky
in the first place. |

Progress is going well on the Barracks. I should have it ready in the
next few days. What weapons and armour should the Dunmer have on hand
(read: on a shelf)?

Maybe you can check if the TES4: Vvardenfell guys have some of the
Morrowind Dunmer armors done, and if so would they be willing to share.

I've gotten permission to use the "Bonemold Arena Raiment" for Dunmer
scouts in Skyrim. Check the download links in the Exterior Resource

I wonder if you guys (TOYB and Graybeard) would mind if I did the Ice
Cave for the teaser. I know all the quest info and I think I can pull
it off. If one of you insists on doing it than good luck.

Thanks!
I'm going to put in some half-frozen NPC's with an ice shader texture
on them and maybe some frosty undead creatures. I'm not sure about the
creatures from the res pack, I'll see what fits.

I was thinking for the old arena poster you where going to put up in HG
that instead of just making the current one look old, use the really
old one from arena
and make that one look tatered and worn.
And by arena the game, I ment this picture http://homepage1.nifty.com/kuzato/Image/arena.gif
That would be a really cool flash back for a lot of people, and it would show how un-updated it is

Do you bring in armour through a separate .esp? I've downloaded Gladiator's Armoury and I'm not sure what to do.

Wow, look at how similar it is to the one used in Oblivion... Think they had some sort of an inspiration?

I did a re-tex of the glass claymore for the ice blade, but because it's just a placeholder this thing would be great.

Great link TOYB. Smokindan, about the armor, its in the newest release
of the resource master file, and its under the directory Skyrim. Maybe
we ought to let Greybeard bring it in how he wants? |

Let's see . . .
I PM'd Legion5v2 at ESF about his sword, and invited him to check us
out. I think that since there is only one such sword, we might be able
to use the mesh and texture, but should probably rename it and change
it's stats. That in itself would be a nice prize.
I isolated the "glitch". There are three rocks in 31,39 in the original
Oblivion esm. that don't seem to have any stats. I finally found them
by deleting everything in that cell because it seemed to be the cause
of the problem. With nothing in the cell, 3 rocks still show up. I have
the unique ID numbers; I've seen them; but I can't do anything with
them!
I think there's another similar glitch in another cell, but since I
can't fix it without modifying Oblivion.esm, there's not much point in
persuing it any further. All I know is that the CS tries to append
these non-rocks to the savefiles. I can do a workaround with TESsnip
and some copy/pasting, and I guess that's about as far as I can go with
that.
I really like the idea of putting the old arena poster in one of the
barracks! Does someone have the ability (and time) to make it into an
old frameless picture? (I'm still on about 60-hour workweeks until -er-
probably until I retire.
I'll work on getting armor and weapons pieces added tomorrow evening.
And TOYB, I got your PM, but haven't had much time to think about it. I
don't think we'll need much scripting, but we should get some voice
actors lined up, and maybe put -Sulan- in charge of handling that area
for this mod.
'Nite guys - grey.

The oringinal idea was for it to be put in the tavern or something like
that. It's not going to be placed somewhere that's nearly impossible to
get to.

Here's the info on the sword:
QUOTE
Greetings! One of our members saw your
excellent sword and was wondering if you'd mind if we used it (with or
without the name) as the prize in one of the quests we're doing. It's
certainly a fine piece of work, and we'd appreciate your permission.
Even more, we invite you to check out
our site and our work. Our link is Skyrim for Oblivion , which is a
part of the Silgrad Tower group. If you'd like to work with us, as time
permits, you're very welcome. If you're loaded up (as are most of us),
we certainly understand. Just PM me here or at Silgrad, or post a note
there to let us know your preferences.
Again, that sword, the mesh and texture, are excellent. Thanks for another improvement to Oblivion. - greybeard.
Sure just make sure to credit me, just keep
in mind it's Deadric origins, as the original in Morrowind was in the
posession of on of Dagoth Ur's more neutral servants. I would also
appreciate the preservation of the one hand two hand weapon switch
script, and a minimum of at least 3 weeks distance between my release
and Skyrim's release. (which I'm sure is a big project, so props on
that.
Anyway cheers.
As far as the poster is concerned, Psychotic, the rating symbol is very
out of place, but the rest I don't mind. I'll leave that up to your
judgment.
Well, it's off-to-work-I-go time. Catch you at lunch.

Awesome stuff, Greybeard. That sword's excellent.
Would you like me to start working on Moldstat's Provisions?
Watchinwheels hasn't got back to me re: his progress on it so I may as well get it done.
