Haerter's Gap Int's for you modders |

Their is already a census officer he lives in the Imp Office, you only
need to make one Npc for the Imp Barracks Smokindan, and I suggest it
not be an argonian as I don't think they like the cold
Also if an Npc is involved in a quest you use the Quest naming system for them, if not you use the normal one.

I probably won't get everything commented before break is over, but here goes:
The Ice cave door in beta 2 is connected to the ext cave, and the Bruma
reference has been deleted. Since the ref's are already in the
masterfile, I should be able to merge the update with no problem
(famous last words).
Smokindan, how about your first quest is to have the Player take those stupid watermellons
to a merchant in Cheydinhal? I know that needs fleshing out; it's just a direction to go.
Another quest: I DO need one argonian - who is perpetually cold: Player
needs to either go to his home in the south (pick a place) and get him
some warm clothes or to go to his commanding officer in (pick another
place) to apologize and beg for a different assignment.
Time to work. 'bye.

I don't think the cave is in a very location, we do want the PC to pic
up the White Witch quest from the tavern, also the other quest I made
for Haerter's needs it to be in a differnt place.

Ok, Greybeard. Will do.
Once I've given RAI to my NPCs, fixed and added what I need to to my cells I'll start the watermelon quest
I'll also do the lead up to the White Witch quest. What would you like
Tjernagel (the owner of the Public House) to say? And did you have that
Falmer armour quest you wanted added, TOYB?
Did you want the Argonian in the Imperial Barracks? I'll also do his quest. Probably, have a choice to do both options.

The Falmer armour quest shouldn't be too hard to make, most of it is quite simple.

TOYB, We don't have a lot of other choices for that cave location. I
can think of 2 that might work, though. The Morrowind office has a back
door. I can put it there, and Smokindan can set the quest up so that it
requires a key. There is also a park-like woods behind Clyde's hides
that might hold a cave entrance with a little work. Does one of those
sound appealing?
Yeah, Smokindan, the Argonian goes in the Imp Barracks.
I've added some more of ST's statics and worked on the Morrowind offices. They still need more clutter though.
As usual, I'm up too late. It'll be a LONG day tomorrow. - 'night.

I say not at the bottom or on the slope of the jerals but somewhere
accros from Haerter's Gap. Somewhere the Pc won't find easily if he
didn't know where it was, also ac campsite will have to be made
somewhere between the cave and Haerter's gap to go along with my quest
for the falmer armour.

The quest you will get in the Skyrim office will be to fill out some
forms, sort of like at the start of MW and the census officer there
will give you a run down about Haerter's Gap and Skyrim what to expect,
the differnt laws of that province(e.g. the trafficing of Falmer Items
is illeagal, sort of like Dwemer stuff in MW). The guard in there will
search you for items you can't take into Skyim, e.g. produce, skoma,
etc. They won't let you into Skyrim if you have a bounty on your
head(They will refuse you the papers untill you have cleared it).

Smokindan, go ahead and download the .esp for the watermellon quest.
I'll wait until you're done to merge that in. And use some
under-officer for the argonian quest. I don't want to take a chance of
messing something up in the MQ.
OK TOYB, I'll see about a more distant location, and put a camp
somewhere NW of Clyde's and N of Aerin's camp. I have to be a little
careful around there because someone has a castle mod in that area. I
don't want to have conflicts there. |

Probably just a modified version of the script that makes your horse follow you when you fast travel.

- 1SKxxQ01xxSDxMelon will be the ID for the watermelon quest
- 1SKxxQ02xxSDxColdArgonian will be the ID for the Argonian quest.
- 1SKxxQ03xxSDxCensus will be the ID for the Census quest.
- 1SKxxQ04xxSDxWhiteWitch will be the ID for the White Witch quest.
- 1SKxxQ05xxSDxMissingTraveller will be the ID for the quest with Falmer armour as a reward.
I've only got the Argonian quest in the CS yet so tell me if you want
the IDs changed. Also, does the Missing Traveller quest start in
Tjernagel's or Clyde's? And feel free to notify me of more quests
I'll probably be cutting it fine with these quest in terms of the
deadline because of RL, but I have a free weekend coming up so I'll see
how I go.
Also, Greybeard, my services and NPCs are duplicated for Moldstadt
(probably because you merged my .esp with the first beta.) i.e. There's
a "1SK...MoldsadtX" in the interior instead of "1SK...Moldstadt" and
his services are "1SK...SleepX" instead of "1SK...Sleep"

Clyde will only say something of a stupid traveler that went up the
mountions about a week ago on some wild treasure hunt and hasn't been
seen in a while. The actual quest will start in Tjernagel's when the
person who the traveler was ment to meet comes up to you and asks if
you would be intrested in helping to find about where his friend his.
He will say that the inn keeper told him that he left to make camp a
few days ago and didn't return, and he can't go looking himself as he
injured his leg on the way up.
P.S. We have a couple of weeks until until it gets released, if you
can't manage any more quests, any more addintional ones that get
thought up will be given to another person.

Yep, saw it the first time. I'll delete the "X" version pronto. - but
thanks for the reminder (one day you too will know about "senior
moments."
)
We'll get as much into this mod as we can by Sept. 1st, and then
release it either as a Version one or as a completed mod. If we feel
we've done as much as we need, it'll be called "done." If we want to
keep improving it (more quests, new statics, etc.) we'll just let
people know that it's still a work in progress. We might want to
re-release it when Riften is ready, and have some quests that involve
the two towns. By then, the Skyrim office can have the back door linked
to the new landmass - which should be awesome. I'd like to do the same
with the Morrowind office and Silgrad Tower. This post has been edited 1 time(s), it was last edited by Greybeard: 17.08.2006 02:42.

I'm sure we'll have enough for a release till the 1st, the question is
do we want to add more later (keep the crowds entertained and all that
).

There's no question we will have enough done to release it by sep 1st,
but the question is the quality, will we have enough time to find all
of the bugs and fix them? Will we have enough time to check there is no
cheating for quests or loop-holes and so forth? These are the things
that are needed for a good mod.

Those are the kinds of errors I love! - easy to fix. A couple of months
ago, I had all the Blender "whizzes" at ESF scratching their heads
because my texture file refused to display properly. Turned out that I
hadn't updated my .dds file.
Yeah, embarrassing. Glad you found the problem.

Okey dokey, I'm nearly done with the Argonian quest. What should I give
the player for getting the commander to forgive the Argonian? If you
get his clothes you get some moolah but if you talk to the sergeant you
get some money and something else (that's what I want thoughts on.)
Anyway here's the stuff I've changed in my .esp so far.
Imperial Barracks
+ Checked floating and bleeding
+ NPC Varius Gravius
+ Pathgrid
+ Beds, containers etc.
+ NPC J?Ram-Dar and the Cold Argonain quest
+ Cluttered
Tjernagel?s Public House
+ Ammended Tjernagel?s Public House Pathgrid
+ Added Tjernagel?s RAI. Put it so he unlocks doors at the start of the
package (to get to his table or bed), lock when he gets to those
locations, then unlock once the package finishes.
+ Added Janine?s RAI. Put it so she unlocks doors at the start of the
package (to get to her bed), lock when she gets to her bed, then unlock
once the package finishes. She eats at the tables in the public house.
Dunmer Barracks
+ Checked floating and bleeding
+ Repositioned some stuff
+ Added food
Moldstadt?s Provisons
+ Checked floating and bleeding
+ Added a bit of clutter just near the door and a few tapestries.
Clydes Hides
+ Added pathgrid
EDIT: The quests The White Witch, The Cold Argonian and Where Art Thou
Traveller? will be in my Imperial Barracks .esp. The Census quest (yet
to be named) and the watermelon quest (also, ytbn) will be in the
Skyrim Office .esp

I think this deserved it's own post.
TOYB. Did you want me to put the book Legal Basics in the Skyrim Office to give to the player when they ask about the laws in Skyrim (besides all the smuggling stuff, as well)?
Also does anyone have any information which you wish me to put in like
stuff on HG as well as Skyrim? I'd rather not pull stuff out of thin
air

Someone from Morrowind should give us the text for the Morrowind office
and barracks, especially the "stranded" Dunmer diplomat. She should
probably ramble on about how nice it is there. And Siegfried should
give us the text for the Skyrim info - comments about Riften, Throat of
the World and the Falmer would seem especially appropriate there. |

I'll start thinking about lines for the Nord Diplomat, the lines about
the Falmer should probably just be things heard in a discussion between
soldiers in the tavern or something. |

Sieg, the stranded Diplomat is from Morrowind, but the Nord soldiers
will have the news about Skyrim, and yeah, the Falmer stuff should be
rumors and gossip. |

Just re-quoting something I said. Did you want me to load the Resource
Master and have something Falmer as a reward? Perhaps, the Argonian
said he was out on patrol and found this weapon. He thought it might be
of some value but it was too cold, so you can have it as a reward
