Skyrim for Oblivion Resource Master File |
|
v01 of the Skyrim for Oblivion Master file is here!
The download link:
http://files.filefront.com/Datazip/;5315888;;/fileinfo.html
The readme that comes with the mod has details on how the new content
should be used, as well as a list of what is added. All future Skyrim
for Oblivion claims will be based off of this file. From now on if you
create a texture for Skyrim for Oblivion, you will be responsilbe for
bringing it into the CS, if it is a creature/item I will handle the
stats, this is the new system, unless I specificly tell you otherwise.
Since we don't have someone to manage the files in our resource master,
I have to handle it. Bringing multiple tilesets and such of 40+ meshes
per tileset is just to time consuming for me when I have other
responsibilities within the project, as well as with managing other
aspects of the master file.
Haerter's Gap should not be dependant on the master, or else when it
is released people will need to download a big fat esm, half of the
content in which isn't used in the mod, plus I don't want our content
to start curculating like nuts all over the web. The content within the
download can and should be used in Haerter Gap, but it should be
brought ingame through the Haerter Gap esp.

Is that right?
EDIT: To install this you just extract everything to the Oblivion\Data folder, right? |
Yeah, just extract everything to Oblivion/Data. There might be some
bugs with filepaths, I'm not sure, if you find any post it here or pm
me and I'll fix it in the next release.
HG will only be one esp/esm.

I'm guessing you want the Ravenwear clothing in Baryn Indarys'?

Add some but not all, we should give some originality to our first trader.

If someone from the other projects wants to use it that's fine.
And the newest version of the resource master http://files.filefront.com/DataFile2zip/...;/fileinfo.html
not to much added. "Light Bonemold Armor" and Pit armor with unique Ids
and stats so it can be used in Skyrim, plus Mountain Leopards, Polar
Bears, the retexted Bruma buildings, and Psychotic's Ice Caves. You'll
need to download the previous resource master for this one to work.
This esm will overwrite the old one. |

Is there someone interested in taking over the resource master file?
I'm really busy right now in real life and I can't regularly bring
things ingame and update it the way I should. |

I'd be happy to take over the master file after HG is released.

It was supposed to be this weekend, but I have a math exam on Monday so it will have to wait a bit.

Could you hold it off until Alasdair can finish up his LC for Riften
and until I have the last few bits finished up on the Windhelm
arcitecture sets.

Downloaded the master file as well as the new master file, and loaded
both in the game. totally killed the game. The height map was not only
bad it sunk the Imperial city to water level, or below, and no point of
the game world was accessable by a character emerging from the sewers
after the tutorial. Had to remove the whole thing. I did like the
redone textures of the chorrol buildings, that was nice. I will
continue with my own version of Skyrim as my height editing seems to
work withut destroying the other parts of the world "in-game".

Hehe, no need to panic.
The heightmap is an old version and a completely new heightmap will be
made soon. We didn't bother to fix the heightmap as the plans for it
changed and a new one was needed.
As for the master file, we did encounter a bug where the ground lost collision, but it's being looked into atm.

I will hold onto the two files and look forward to a new modification
which will fix the collision problem. I saw a posting by the gray
wizard about producing height maps for all the providences of tameril,
is there a possibility of aquiring these maps?

You can just change the ID's in the old master. The editor name doesn't matter to the game, only the formID.
changing 2RiftenUpper01 to say 1SKRiftenUpper01 shouldn't matter, but I can't test it now

Any news on the resource master? Those re-textured basement sets would
be really useful for the interiors I am doing in Riften. |

Texture path problems = TOYB's Fault
Which I am sorry for
Also use Alasdiar's tutorial to fix the floor bug, using the Hex editor.

No problem, I can fix the textures now that I have the time.
I'll check out Alasdiar's tutorial, but it might turn out that I'm too stupid to figure it out.
