Originally for elsweyr but probably more suited here. Any changes that
I need to make? I'll probably whip up another slightly different one.

Nice concept, it could work in Skyrim, but it would probably be all one
thing (all fur, all leather, ect) and also I doubt it would have the
metal plate on there. |

I agree with it probably being pretty cold, so I'll most likely make a
new version more suited to the cold, I'll remove the metal thing too,
am I making an all one material version or a patchy one, I quite liked
the patch effect. |

Lets try a less-patchy one, maybe made from furs with small leather
patches scattered around it. Also could you make the wooden skeleton of
the tent visible (show where the material sags because it has no
support, and where it is rigid). |

Looks good!
I actually like the patchy look, since it?d be fitting for barbarians
or something or something me thinks (a military or other more
"civilised" tent would look more rigid I think with a "V-roof").
A thing to consider would be a little "rooflike thing" for the smoke
hole, since it snows in Skyrim and it also makes better use of the
heat...

Well they obviously wouldn't all look the same, so I'll do a few different sorts, at least one patched and one unpatched.
What exactly do you mean sulan, something to stop the snow from getting in through that hole thing?
EDIT: Oh yea I know what you mean by roof like thing, I'll see what I can do.
Edit 2006.08.06 00:35:
Bon appetite. Any better?

Sweet! That was exactly what I meant
Some varients (varying in patchiness) sounds a good idea!

This shouldn't be hard to model, we'll see if there is someone available.

I like the patched version better, but the model is still the same,
only the texture would be different. I would texture this myself if
anyone is willing to model it.

Excellent, if you need any more texture designs, give me a shout, I
think I will keep the model the same for convinience sake. |

It looks great. I think the more variations we have of this the better.
BTW, I'd be willing to try my hand at modeling this (although I can't
texture to save my life). |

I think it's more or an orcish design, not a nordic one.

Wow, I've never seen any of my concept art take shape into a model.
Looks great, although the chimney roof thing, could be a little
smaller, go a little higher and be more rounded. Looking good though,
thanks |

Don't worry about it, that bit wasn't important anyway.
Thanks a lot, I've got some stuff that could be modelled in my concept
art thread, but that is mainly armour/clothing, so I'm guessing will be
much more difficult. |

yeah you guessed right. I need an armor tutorial before I do any armor, I have no idea how I would go about making armor.

Well there is tons of cool concept art round these parts, if I could
model I'd want to make this one from -Sulan-'s concept art thread:

Yes, but I can't do a thing unless I have a template to texture.

That tower is perfect lothar!
Though in relation to the Nordic hut or any other models you might so
kindly contribute in the future, I can't work with .obj files when it
comes to texturing, I need a .nif and a texturing template with all the
polygons laid out (any decent image format would do).

oh yeah, I also have to make the ladder seperate so the CS reconises it as a door. |
Thanks for the models then, I'll see what I can do with the .obj. Keep us posted on that tower ladder.
