Location: A Farm in the Rift.


This quest will be about a farmer who completly relies on his hunting dog for rounding up his sheep and hunting small animals, etc, as he is very old and isn't as fit as he used to be. Unfortunatly he found his beloved dog dead the other day. He assumes someone did it on purpose as there is numerous stab wounds on the body from a sword/dagger. He says that if you find and bring the culprit to justice he will reward you.

If you investigate you find the culprit was a traveler who thought it was a wolf after it tried to bite him, however the adventurer died because he got trapped in an ice cave. You find a diary on his corpse about the events. As a reward the farmer gives you a reward of 50 gold and a pendant to resist against frost(20 percent resistance).

There will also be a follow up quest where you can get him a new dog, I will post this later.

This quest is designed for any level character and would be found on a farm.

Why does every quest-related dead guy has to have a journal on him? Don't answer that, it's a rhetorical question. :D

The quest idea is really neat though, just one of those little quests that contribute to immersion.

Excellent quest idea, wouldn't it be cool for the follow-up if you could find the guy a wolf pup, and every month for 4 months or so it would get bigger?
