[Quest/Alpha state]Behind the stolen stalhrim |
|
...or "Looking for the stolen stalhrim", or something similar
This quest is incomplete, and in alpha status, so it's written in a
pretty horrible english, it's full with notes, spanish annotations,
etc.... But I want to know your impressions before write it completely.
If they're positive enough, I'll write all the permutations and finish
the misteries behind it
OK, so here it goes:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Title: "Behind the stolen stalhrim" (?)
Introduction: Somebody is stealing stalhrim from the sacred tombs of the heroes! But who, and with what purpose?
Plot: Almost all the habitants of Skyrim knows the
magical properties of the sacred stalhrim, capable of preserve a dead
body for centuries. It seems that somebody knows that, too....because
groups of undead are rushing the tombs where ancient kings and heroes
lay in peace and picking up all the stalhrim they can carry with them
from the frozen tombs. (Insert name of the NPC that gives you the
mission) wants you to stop this profanation!
After some research and adventure/s, you've discovered that the stolen
stalhrim is going to a strange half-Lich being, named "Kadesh" (it's
true name was long forgotten even by him/her long ago). Apparently, he
was a powerful necromancer who tried (as so many necromancers try), to
become into a Lich, but something failed about his transformation, and
became only half-Lich, needing the sacred stalhrim to preserve his
half-dead/half-alive body. He sends his undead minions at night to loot
all the stalhrim they can get, and then (with black rituals) assign it
to his body, creating a powerful, frozen enemy to beat. Now it's time
to send his soul to rest forever!
Development: After (insert again the NPC name)
talks to you, you must go one night to the profaned tombs. Inside
you'll discover (only if you appear at the correct hour (12:00PM-3-4:00
AM?)) who are the burglars..... a group of zombies/skeletons! (but
there is something wrong about those undead....they're protected by
some sort of purple shield They should be near a stallhrim tomb (make
message appear here saying "I've come to the ........... burial chamber
as (NPC) said. I've found inside a group of zombies harvesting
stalhrim. I should follow them?), or something similar. Them, make a
choice:
- If the player decide to sneak and follow the undead....I'll write it eventually
- If the player rush and kills them: In one zombie copse (the one that
seemed more dangerous), he'd find a note (cruelmente atada/tatuada a
fuego) on him. Unfortunately, it's written in an unknown and
dark language, and the player has no idea of what it means. Then he
should go to any village near and ask about "Obscure note", then the
villagers would redirect him to (insert NPC name, preferiblemente one
with "dark" fame). He will reply that this language is the language of
the undead, and that only an undead could translate it for you. Talk
him about the undead you found in the tomb and he'll reply that he
knows a bit about it....it seems that undead minions can't touch
stalhrim without suffering severe damage, and that misteryous shield in
some matter protects them so they can cut and carry stalhrim.... ?To
where...or who??, asks the player.....?That's what you'll have to
discover?, replies with a smile the misterious man.
Then the player should get himself a piece of stalhrim (from the tomb
that has recently been looted), and return to a tomb (inventar como y
donde ser? la pr?xima profanaci?n), and find an undead skeleton. He's
protected with the purple shield. The player must dispel the shield,
debilitate the skeleton (not necessarily in this order), and once
debilitated and without his protective shield, "torture" him with the
stalhrim. Once you get the info....(coming soon
).
Possible incongruencias/misconcepts:
- I hope it's compatible with "Frost Magic and Necromancy" book, as well and all the new (and old) lore created for Skyrim.
That's all (for now). I hope you like it

Excellent to see a new face, or avatar.. ok you dont have an avatar,
but what I'm trying to say is.
WELCOME TO SKYRIM FOR OBLIVION
Oh just read your registration date, and you arrived ages ago. Well I never welcomed you then so never mind. hehehe. |
hehe, thanks for the welcome
It's the first mission/lore I ever write for a RPG game, so I hope you
like it ^^ I'm doing it with the collaboration of a friend (via MSN),
that is very skilled too at writing stories.
I'll continue polishing the story, and eventually writing the "sneaking into the zombies" part

Stalhirm is only found on Solstheim, so this quest can be moved there.
No harm done though because necromancers have come to inhabit Solstheim.
