Note: This is a Mage's Guild misc quest
An aprentice in Windhelm recently has lost all sense of being, and
cannot not recall anything about his past or even who he is. The only
thing he can say is "Lost" and very feblely at that. If you ask around
you find out that this aprentice was trying to extract an early
childhood memory from his mind that he had forgotten. The guild master
of Windhelm forbid him from doing this, however a few days later
members of the Mage's Guild found him in his room in the state he is in
currently. When searching his room you find a jornal explaining the
events just before the experiment. He had had a fight with another
aprentice just before it had happened, and the conflict had not been
resolved. It says in the jornal that the aprentice was going to extract
the memory and secure it in a crystal ball, on his desk. However when
you go try and look for it you can't seem to find it.
After some snooping you find the crystal ballin the other apretices
room, safely hidden (or so he thought). You give the crystal ball to
the guildmaster who then gives the memories back to the aprentice. The
other aprentice then is banished by the Guildmaster from the mage's
guild.
As a reward you get three magic scrolls.
Note: I will make a follow up of this quest about the other aprentice who gets banished.
