What would you guys say to some quest to help setup a mining camp in
the middle of no where. The camp is very close to a mine fulled to the
roof and ground with diamonds. Quests could be getting supplies/hiring
miners/guards Escorting payments building more buildings anything else?

really the whole thing could be done in one quest, not quest and
escorting payments would get boring it would be better to have a few
things stopping the mine from being built that need to be delt with,
such as a monster has attacked or something.

it would have to be only a small mine, with prehaps only one exterior
building with most of the workers Sleeping in quarters in the mine to
not be like raven rock.

Granite hall should be a mining town. German towns with the word hall or salz in them were salt mining towns.

A salt mine... why didn't I think of that!

mine as the name suggest (even though granite is not really mined in
the same way as diamonds/iron would). The layout sounds fine. |
The town should still be involved with the quest, but the Mine in
question should be seperate from the Town. Prehaps the Town has many
mines around it and a new one is to be set up?

That sounds best. There should be one at the center of town, that has
the scale of the ints doubled, to simulate it being a really old mine,
and having been carved really large. Like it was the town's original
mine. Maybe the Chieftain could live in an ornately carved chamber deep
inside the mine. There are some mines in Europe with elaborate carved
living space chambers. |

Yeah sure. We'll need some granite rocks made, re-textures will probably do the job.

Those are usually salt mines, but I like the idea.
