Windhelm Quest, Wandering the Halls. |
|
Note: This is the King/Queen/baron/baroness/Count quest for Windhelm.
Location: Windhelm Palace/Windhelm
Of late a ghost has been seen wandering the lower halls and dungeons of
the Windhelm castle, he seems to be lost and searching for a way out,
but sadly he cannot find peace.
To start the quest you must first talk to the King (or other) and they
will bring up this quest for you, he says that his/her servants have
reported to his advisor a series of sightings of ghosts. The King says
it isn't very important as he isn't bothering anyone and no one really
goes into the lower halls anyway but he says it would be better if he
wasn't there.
(After giving you the quest the ghost is now activated)
You go down to the lower halls to find the ghost wandering about, when
you talk to him he says that he is lost and cannot find the way out.
You then ask him to follow you and he says that he is lost in a
differnt way, he has lost his way to the afterlife. He says that if the
way is lit he may be able to. You then ask if he needs a torch, he then
replies that for the way to be lit he must be avenged and his killer
brought to justice, before killing him he says his attacker cursed him
so that he may not say his name, but he says he is able to give you
clues, but even this is limited. He then says that he(the ghost) worked
in the kitchens.
you go to the kitchens and ask around, it seems that there was a few
people who where missing on the night he was(the ghost) killed.
Person A) was missing, he can be found normally at his home, he comes to the castle to clean out the prison.
Person B) was missing, she can be found at the tavern *name* (the local theives guild hideout) she cleans the great hall.
Person C) was missing, he lives in a small room in the castle, though
he normally can be found at the local bar. Drunk. He is kitchen help,
though he rarely does his job.
On approach they all say they didn't do it.
When asking the prisoners in the prison they all say they are dead
certain it was him (person A), as he works for the management. Though
they have no proof.
On looking in Person B's house you find many stolen items from the
castle, on approaching her she says she did steal them but she did not
kill the guy.
If you get Person C drunk he say that he knows the guy, he had a bet
with him and lost. He then became a drunk and had to sell his house to
live, the king gratefully gave him a room in the castle and gave him a
job. The guy (the ghost) then tried to Dob him in for stealing, and so
he killed him as he feared the King would throw him out.
You then go to the King and say who killed the ghost, person C then is
banished from the castle and from the city (he then travels to
Winterhold) and you get a reward of a sum of 300 gold and a Windhelm
shield. You then go to the ghost and say that his murderer was brought
to justice, the ghost then thanx you and says he has found the light.
He need disapears and the quest is finished.
End.

Great
especially the part of getting him drunk
Will raising his disposition to a very high amount also work?

No, as even if someone was your BF I don't think they would up to
passing on the info that they had vicously murdered someone over
revenge and gambling debt, aswell as being a hopeless drunk.

I like it! Much like the quest in Chorrol Castle
