I am no great artist myself, but something I'd really like to see are some axes like these:



Two-hand axes of this type looks really cool to me.. Also one-hand axes with a longer shaft than most other axes in oblivion are really cool..
What do you think ?

We do have an axe like the one in your first picture. Yes Though it would be cool to give the texture some fancy engravings like the axe in the second pic has. Good job!

Is the axe in third picture Gimli's axe from The Lord of The Rings? Something similar to that would indeed kick ass, but perhaps not an exact copy.

A few axes with longer-then-usual shafts shouldn't be too difficult to model... I actually feel a few concept sketches coming up. Off to get some paper! :D

Yea, I always find those kind of axes are the best. There is a mod which has an axe similar to the top image, which I think is being used in this mod

I'm not really partial to the Germanic/Norse axes. Seems too much handle for the blade for me. But I've done a fair amount of wood-splitting in my day, and can appreciate the heft of a good axe.

I think frans has the second axe (bearded axe). But the third looks the best according to me Yes
