History:
The Order of the Silver Raven is a sizeable group of "knights" that calls Skyrim their home.
The Order was founded in the early second era by Hamd the Unflinching,
a young Berserker who was grevously wounded in battle across the
Cyrodiil, but found by a noble knight from Bruma and nursed back to
heatlh. In time he became the knight's squire. After the knight's death
he returned to Skyrim, to his native home of Whitehold, where he was
allegedly guided by a talking silver raven to the location of a mighty
rune-blade. With the rune-blade he cut down countless monsters and
evil-doers. In time he gained a sizeable following.
The Silver Raven (who was really the avatar of Kyne) appeared to him
once more and instructed him to organize his followers and lead them
south into the Rift. At the foot of the mountains they would find a
small lake with a great rock sticking out of it's center. Upon the rock
they would construct a fortress, from whence the warriors would combat
corruption and injustice. As long as they remained honorable and pious,
they would have the blessing and protection of the Silver Raven. Hamd
did as he was instructed, and created the fortress which he called
Sunguard. In honor of Kyne Hamd named his followers the Order of the
Silver Raven.
Under Hamd the Order prospered. Hamd himself lived 67 years, and led
the Order until his death. Hamd was slain when he single-handedly
fended off a large band of Dark Elf Marauders who had moved into Skyrim
and had been terrorizing the people of Eastmarch and the Rift. He met
them in battle on a bridge that spanned the great gorge from whence the
Rift draws it's namesake. Had it not been for Hamd's sacrifice, the
settlement known today as Reich Corigate, as well as Vernim Wood would
have been sacked by the Marauders.
In time the Order spread all across Skyrim, battling the forces of
corruption and injustice wherever they found them. In many cases, they
worked hand in hand with the Greybeards and Order of Oak and Thorn, and
after the rise of the Imperials, the Legions to combat those that
threatened the well-being of Skyrim. It was the Order of the Silver
Raven that hunted down the Necromancer Raugul and his vampire followers
(though Imperials like to claim credit for it).
More to come about the modern Order later, all ideas are welcome.

I like the story so far. 
I think that the patron saint of the order should be Kyne. She is known
to manifest herself trough elements of nature and is at the same time
highly appreciated by Nord warriors.

Cool idea. Just out of curiosity Siegfried, the idea of him being slain
when defending a bridge alone, was that inspired by what happened at
Stamford Bridge in 1066?

I like the storyline so far, and I think It'd be a cool faction. You
should make it a forum faction too, and If you do, I want to join.
I posted a picture of Mountaineer armor, that is a concept shot, and I think iits okay.

I'd like to help out with the Order of tht SR, how can I come about doing this?
I cant really script unless someone teaches me. You know I can model,
texture, and I'm good at making quest ideas, if someone makes them into
actual quests.
I think I should also entail werewolves, undead, necromancers, and
anything unholy. That way whenever you bring them something they will
pay you for it.
I also think there should be a small seperate werewolf hunter's
guild(like order of the virtous blood) that has a seperate quest line
and their own armor. I've designed an OVB armor, and a werewolf
hunter's armor. So I could give you those if you want them.
These are only ideas though.

I like the idea about the werewolf hunting guild because I played
oblivion and then morowind so the graphics ruind it 4 me and I always
thought the werewolf stuff would have beeen fun mybee you could include
a werewolf clan to that are at war with some other evil creatures all
sounds cool to me

Yeah, thats a good idea.
Have some clans that are fighting, and they hire help from the werewolf hunter's guild to fight.

Cool idea could be
Expanding land of the order and opening new branches as well as recruiting more followers.
As for the main quest could be a rogue dummer army is in the Eastmarch
again trying to claim land they eventually due and setup bases around
the countryside with their Fortress in some old ruins. Eventually they
take over farms and small towns that support the economy and the Order
is called in. The dummer also have a politican in a high place working
the ways for them and supplying them with gold,weapons,armor and
supplies to help claim land for the Dummer Warlord whose vision is to
have his own land in skyrim.

That's not a bad idea, the knights of the silver raven will probably be
the first faction we implement (there main base is in the Rift), so we
really need quest ideas. |

Hmmm, we could use some armor concepts for the Order, and once we've
got those, modeles/texturers will have a place to start if they want to
work on the order. |
