It's supposed to be at night time, but I set the sunlight and horizon
settings a bit too high, so it kinda looks like day with a dark sky. |

Looks really good, I would use it sparcely in some regions jsut so the
player just stands and thinks wow when they first see it. Save the .esp
realy for later.

That is some serious awesomeness.
I say we should definitely use it in the far north.

Overall it looks very good. I'm not sure how plausible this is with
Oblivion's engine, but after looking at the vids from Lady N, is it
possible to make the color move and animate more like suggested, and
then focus into a smaller part of the screen? |

That is sooo cool. you guys should definately have this, but make it a
really rare weather pattern. I remember seeing aurora australis once,
when I lived further south, it was during thos solar flares a couple of
years back.

Shifting colours is possible, but it requires the entire worldspace to
have constant Aurora, or it would require a script - which is something
I don't think is worth the effort. An animated image might work, but
the texture size is big enough already.
You can see it changing when you look at it, the bottom layer moves at
the maximum possible speed, while the top layer moves pretty slow. This
produces a sort of undulating effect, which looks pretty. Move the top
layer any faster and you begin to notice the stars moving.
@Ja-Kha'Jay. It'll be pretty rare, about a 1 in 10 chance of it
occuring at night would be ideal, rare enough so it doesn't happen
every night, but enough for the player to actually see it. This post has been edited 1 time(s), it was last edited by Alasdair: 14.10.2007 00:57.

I think it looks fine as it is, anything else will just take much more
time to sort out. I reckon it will look pretty amazing when you first
see it anyway. |

Would you be able to have it only in the northern sky? Not all around/overhead? That'd be neat

Yes, I can make the location as specific as you want. The time is another matter entirely.

Looks nice in the pics, but I'd like to see it in action before comparing it to Alasdair's

Thing is its a nebula replacer-- we'd have to alter it to exist as a
cloud texture before we could use it-- it would also prolly need some
sort of minor animation. |

I have little knowledge , so I hope I'm not enraging anyone if I ask
whether this excellent thing was included (my english is rather
amateurish , apologies)
