Some screenshots of my latest modeling endeavour. I've made all the models, but I still have to UV/texture and set up collision on most of them. The tileset needs some rocks that can be placed around the tombs, the rocks Razorwing made for his moldcave set would be perfect, so I'll ask if we can use them.

Cool, it looks nice Good job!

I think the floor could use some work because it looks very flat.

You're a Studmuffin Alasdair!

It looks awesome, my only request is could you try making the floor a little more rough/uneven.

I'd actually vote against actually making the floor mesh rougher. It's easier to do collision on a flat surface, and the illusion of unevenness can be done with vertex painting, texturing and normal maps.

Just my $0.02,
Steve

mayhaps we can get a render screen? the curent ones are really quite dark. from what I can see it looks cool though

I think the floor is fine the way it is. aditional roughness can be achieved through normal and parallax maps much more efficiently then it can be through aditional poligons.

Parallax maps could work for the floor, I'll experiment with that. And yes, Elsweyr (or any other BC project) is free to use it.

Been working on this the last 2 days, I've just finished all the tile pieces. I'm going to make some cracked floor variations, and I still need to model clutter and other statics to go in the tombs. CS Screenshot:

The bits where the coffins go are vertex shaded to make them look darker, and yes they will be in the upcoming release.

Oooh, shiney :D Do we have an agreed upon runic alphabet? Also, is there a way you can make the regular floors look at bit rougher/more uneven?

This is the runic alphabet we're using, or at least that's what I was told. I'm pretty sure it was decided before I even joined. :) As I mentioned earlier, I plan on improving the floors with some cracked variation (and a new normal map).
