Ok lets talk about our first city, Silvenar, as mentioned in other
posts the city building are made of marble, and from the distance you
can see marble towers rising out of the forest, it is supposed to be a
beautiful city with friendly citizens.
Lets see what you people can come up with.

A good retexture of the bravil towers might be able to look very nice.

Ok guys, I know exactly how I am going to make this city, and If I can
do whats in my head, then it will look truly outstanding. Ok I need the
following meshes, A big marble wall, that is wide at the bottom, but
gets thinner as going to the top, the wall should be as big as the wall
Razorwing used for Soluthis, A ramblings wall, but for that I need to
explain how the city is going to be laid out,
Ok here goes, the Four towers Of Silvenar, the wall is going to be in
an arrow shape, the top being where you enter, when you enter you see
the first tower of the Market and living district, the shops are at the
bottom, and the comoners live in the wall, The wall is called The
Ramblings, to the west Ramblings wall, we have the arena district, to
the east ramblings wall, we have the Temple District, Now the backbone
of the arrow, that which makes it go,
The Palace district, where the Tallest and best tower is located, the
king of Silvern and the nobles live here, also the guild of mages, and
the guild of fighters, Now you know how the city is going to be laid
out, I will draw a rough picture with photoshop (YAY I GOT PHOTOSHOP)
so you can understand the layout better.
I think the ramblings would be pretty unique, this is how they work,
The bottom of the wall (the wide part) is where the more well off
commoners live, it is two storeys, aften being doubled as a tavern or
shop, above that we have a smaller house, with one storey, and then
above that, we have two small houses side my side one storey, There is
a left side and a right side to each Rambling.
So that means the layout I just gave is used by only one side, so that
means each wall contains 8 houses, We need someone to make the interior
for this aswell.
With the picture you should understand better how its going to look
like, I am sure this city is going to make for a great demo.
BTW: I am the mayor of this city, soon two other cities will be open for mayoring (Something me and DA discussed).
Everything is going full steam ahead guys

things to do, so I won't be modeling at the moment, but I'l poke around

yeah go to export then choose what type to export, but
if you don't do that (or save as a jpeg or gif or whatever) then it
will automatically do .psd
I don't have photoshop but I have used it before... wish I had it
but I don't

Cool, I've begun the city, using the IC walls as place holders. The layout is almost complete.

Aaaarrrghh, this raggidman came accross a thread that had a reference
to Silvenar, got timed out of his connection and had to leave this
'till later, and now
can't remember where it was. Buuuut the gist was this:
that Silvenar was NOT built by the Bosmer - so that backs up pretty
much any non-bosmer architecture (whatever Bosmer Architecture looks
like.)
Doubble Aaaaaaarrrrghh? IS THERE THE BOSMER ARCHITECTURE IN ARENA and WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE?
Trebble AAAAAARRRGGGGHHH: That goes for all the associated mods :total shame: I have never played Arena. I am unworthy

The buildings in arena are all the same. Think of a perfectly square
box. Now start stacking the boxes, that is arena's architecture.

Morrowind meshes are plentiful, and work just as well, they just need
new textures. They are made the same way, and you just get one that
doesn't show off its low polycount. Oblivion buildings... I know of
none.

Well, they might be compatible, just as long as they aren't retexes or
reuses of textures from the Morrowind game... As long as we don't use
assets that Beth made, it should be alright (I think)

I don't think we can use armours from Morrowind, the marble pillars
look particularly useful, the velothi may give away its origins, and I
love the imperial house.

I think we could use the tree house. Add a top to it, replace the wood
with magicaly bent branches (that is how I think the tree houses should
be made, it is under discussion, tell me what you think) and we have
our tree villages. Maybe move the houses a bit higher up.

Speedcad is used to create the tree format that oblivion uses, all the trees that came with the game were speedcad.

Then we use speedcad I guess.
I don't think that every tree in Valenwood should be huge, maybe more inland, but not on the coasts.
