Lol Krisi
I think that having that many manes might cause repetetivness
So lets add more unique stuff rather than re-using something unique therefore rendering it boring.

Not only the manes are effected, that is what I've been trying to say,
it causes all sorts of wier stuff throughout the world, sons giving
birth to fathers and the like. By 3MQ I meant, valenwood, elsweyr, and
joint.

RE: Main quest discussion. |

The point about Dance in the Fire is that this is a 'little skirmish'
with onky a few hundred cats that occurrred after a major war had
concluded...
Somehow I believe that several hundred on each side is more than enuf
to occupy the player? So this is not a 'war' but rather deniable
skirmishing between factions.
War with Cyrodiil????
Ummm, can we rethink this bit? With Mythic Dawn a myth once more, why????
One essential to consider is how many Gates and where. How will this affect the Pact etc.
Would the Bosmer actually want to leave the Empire? Nope. Read Dance in the Fire please, it's a fine read and fun.
But there is a Looong History Between Summerset Isle and Valenwood, so
might frictions errupt in that direction? So what happens if both the
Cats and Altmer have fractious factions and th eBosmer decide no one is
going to push them around...
Plus there is the Precursor him/her/itself - could this be the player -
will have to re-read the Precursor threads - or maybe an agent stirring
up trouble outside to distract from inner doings.
NB the Wild Hunt makes sense now that the Solstheim Hunt is concluded -
but if the player has damaged/defeated one third of Hircine will
Hircine be as all powerful? Maybe Hircine needs to renew his power with
a successful hunt immediately?

Skirmish
War with Cyrodiil
Multiple Manes (well and none repetitvly done, perhaps not the focus, but used to spice up another plot)
Hunt
Summerset No Decision
My votes.

Who? Me?
If so... Hmm... Well, I'm not too keen on multiple manes, at least not sixteen of them, maybe about two or three, but no more.

Well seeing as there were 5 endings to dagerfall, I assumed a similair
number would be used for the mane outcomes, because there realy arn't
too many possible manes ven with a dragon break.

Maybe you, after going through a set of ordeals proving yourself
worthy, get an audience with the manes. Each one supports different
ideals. We get a sorta Houses-of-Morrowind vibe. One seeks to conquer
Tamriel with Khajiit forces, one seeks to gain economic superiority,
one wants a Mane Council where the existing Manes make decisions in a
democratic format, one is sorta shady and sends lotsa spies around and
is maybe involved in illegal stuff. I don't know, stuff like that. You
side with the one who's ideals you like most, and you start doing
quests for them, obviously relating to what they thing. The shady one
might want you to assasinate the other manes, the other might send you
on diplomatic missions etc etc.
Although I just thought of this, I'd still be open to any other plots.
One idea is the moonsugar canes are tainted somehow, bringing a
depression among Khajiit, or it could be that outlanders are trying to
stop moonsugar consumation, thinking it taints the Khajiit, or a
khajiit splinter group that wants to terraform the desert using magic,
and abundant caches of water. |

That is more along the lines with what I was thinking, a little less
cut and dry, but political differences. Democratic but indessisive.

That coud be one of the mysteries needing to be solved, it could be
that the persicution after having been brought into the world, for
several era's they have lead very different lifestyles, it could
represent the effect of circumstances on the psyche.

So, some could seem like very decent ideals and such and etc... but really be planning something awful.
Only problem is, from what just occured to me, is that the Manes are
each a rebirth of the Khajiit hero from ancient times... So how is his
personality going to change exactly?
Foul is Fair, and Fair is Foul...
- Shakespear relates to Macbeth... |
When the dragon broke, the PAST was altered, not the present, creating
multiple heroes. Because the hero is reincarnated, the divine workings
of Mane-hood had no choice but to create multiple incarnations. That's
the way I'd think it could be bypassed. |

We could pse it as a riddle with multiple answers and is never fuly
explained, let the player chose what to believe, maybe each mane has
his own beliefs?

Wow, this entire thread has left me more confused than when I posted
it. So far I have denounced that we have gotten nowhere with the VW MQ,
and seem to have little ideas on all three of the MQ's, but no solid
ones.
Please people, on topic. Elsweyr MQ can be discussed in the Elsweyr
forums, joint MQ in the common room, as it would be unfair if either of
our forums hosted it. But here, please, discuss the Valenwood MQ.
Something to do with Valenwood specificly, it can be about conflicts,
but I think that would better suit the joint MQ.
*sigh* Discuss

He's supposed to be a prophet, who is signaling the coming of Y'ffre. So he's what you make of him I guess.

What if he's sorta touched in the head, and what he thinks Y'ffre is, is really [evil threat here].
Maybe Hircine, with the reappearence of the hunt, or some new threat. Maybe someone trying to destroy the Green Pact?

I say we keep with the common theme of sleepers/mythic dawn worshipers of a false god type thing.

I like it. I think that the player hsould get involved suddenly, like
walking alog and then *BOOM* planet of the apes style.

There needs to be a bit more conflict for the general leadership of Valenwood. Perhaps a re-emergence of the Camorans?
