I love it, its a very very good drawing.
My only critism is that it gives me the impression of being slightly
futuristic if you know what I mean, mainly the boots. I do like it
though, the cuirass is perfect in my opinion.

I disagree that it's a SF look and I like it a lot. I got a female version of Sentry Jerkin posted as well
But I think yours will look better.

Ill see if I have time but i'm working hard to get an alpha of the
islands out, including current interiors (with panther, jungle tiger,
jungle spider). The animals have random speed and scale based on a
script Martigen helped me write for AliveWaters. Hopefully someone can
then start a video to advertise for Valenwood
I'm also going to update the .esm with the new trees/creatures/walls. All before friday as well as packing

But he possibly won't do it

Woohoo armour time!! This be the monk/priest light armour, we should
have added bonuses to it for preist type characters, like bonuses in
restoration I guess, and magik bonuses. But if we add bonuses to it,
that means it must be magical so it shouldn't be very easy to find.

What's the cuirass made of? Also remember the armor is upgradable 4 levels.
Each level getting a bit more protected and or ordanate.

Ok good, it looks good, but I imaging this to be the second version,
the first is less protected and the better version then your drawing
would be more ordanate and a little more leather or something. At least
that's what I got in mind

I think 4 stages are too much. 3 is better, I mean think about all the work thats ahead of us.
so I was thinking, something like the higher your light armour skill is, the faster you can upgrade your armour.
and if you want to switch armours, then you start at lv.1 again. but
again, the higher your light armour skill is the faster you upgrade. |

That's not really logical. My idea was you go to a smith to upgrade
your gear. It cost you a lot but it's worth it. 4 stages are a lot but
well It can be done, it's not like a new model but just editting a
model

well, I still say there should be a certain lv you have to be to upgrade your armor.
light armour lvs:
1-25 = 1st stage
25-60 = 2nd stage
60-100 = 3nd stage
3 is the magic number.

ok this is it. we can do 4, but I think it should be done like this...
light armour lvs:
1-25 = 1st stage
25-60 = 2nd stage
60-99 = 3rd stage
100 = 4th stage
and only when you reach 100 you can get the 4rth stage, witch will be
the most bad ass one, the most arcane one, so I think this is fair.
what you think? |

You played Morrowind? We're trying to bring bakc that sort of levels.
So if you got the cash you can get the best equipmetn no matter what
your skill is. But hey before we make a decision lets ask the rest
That will take a couple of weeks but hey that shouldn't stop you from drawing
Anyway I'm off.

the thing is, money is not that hard to come by, so the player wont
even experience lv 1, 2, 3, cause theyll go staight to buy the 4th one,
so whats the point of having all the lvs?
this will be a way for the player to "earn" the upgrades, not only with money but also with skill.

How do you come to the idea money is easy? We disable fasttravel and
all teleportation stuff will cost money. Your enviroment isn't levelled
so you going to need those potions
And I never said upgrading was cheap.

I dont really play OB, but all I know is that in MW, I have like 60K,
and thats not much, cause with the rich scamp, money is pretty easy to
come by.

Yeah a small Shieldspell would sound logical. A whole set fits
perfectly. The main idea behind upgradeble armor is taht even at lvl 60
you can still look like a ranger and not like either abroghtcolored
clown or a heavy knight.

It would be more interesting if the player has to upgrade his/her own
armor = real sacrifice requiring skill armorer developement + exotic
materials (or maybe spend to buy materials)
This armour upgrade idea has real possibilities

Yes perhaps he need certain resources for certain upgrades. But for the
basics he simply needs a smith. I mean it requires nothing special to
add an extra layer of leather to a cuirass

we could make it a quest, like the smith will tell you what he needs and you go get it.
but we should restrict this to lvs 3 and 4, cause lv 1 and 2 shouldnt
have magical bonuses anyway, so the smith has all he needs already. |
