I love it. Like the idea a lot. It fitting for the islands if you could
flesh it aout abit that would be great. There would be probably 4
survivors due to the size of the boat. There isn't much dense jungle
but a jungle fight would still be cool. |

Sure. Will write a detailed summary as soon as I have time (quite busy at the moment).
About the number of survivors, we could try making it a
slightly-larger-than-normal custom boat with lots of hammocks or small
cabins inside. I haven't used the boat set much, but I think the
interior tileset can be used to make different sizes and shapes of
boat. If we could get the number of survivors plausibly up to 7 or 8 we
could make proper factions among the survivors, rather than just a
couple of people with different ideas.
If that really isn't an option, there was the idea I posted a while
back about finding a mysterious group of other foreigners marooned on
the island, who've been there for a lot longer and know more about the
islands. They will share their information with you if you join them in
their plan to seize the elves' boat and escape the islands. But they
may not be the helpless shipwreck survivors they seem, and seem to have
a secret agenda of their own. |

Well I was thinking about using the custom boat model we have which has
just come from Valenwood. I started the interior and fit 5 beds into it
with some living room. I suppose there has to be someone always crewing
the boat so we could make 7 Npcs. |

True, True, I just thought it would look good to have the custom boat
in anvil/IC docks. How many npcs are you planning to survive? |

Maximum 8 or 9 I think, including the player.
There would only be three or four of those who actually drive the plot,
the rest would be supporting characters who eventually side with one of
the protagonists.
And seeing as the mainland Valenwood's not made yet, I assume that in
this teaser mod, at the end of the quest the Bosmer boat will take you
back to Anvil or IC instead.
So we'll get it in the dock anyway, just not right at the beginning.
BTW the first draft quest writing is progressing well, I have kept it
fairly linear for the moment but we can always diversify and refine it
once I've submitted my first draft as a suggestion. Bear in mind that I
haven't actually seen the landmass yet, so I don't know the landmarks.
My goal at the moment is to write a story that will start us off as a discussion point for how we're going to implement this.

Here's Part One of my suggested Mainquest for the Valenwood Islands. I
tried to send it in a PM but it wouldn't let me attach it for some
reason. Anyway, here it is.
This is just a first draft, so no doubt things will need to be changed
as we all discuss what's possible and how to do things. In particular,
the names of characters were made up randomly, and probably should be
changed when someone can think of something better.
Part Two is coming, but the next week is going to be extremely busy for
me so I can't promise a definite date. But this should be enough to get
you started if you decide to go with it.

Part Two will, I'm afraid, be a little delayed as I need to have a look
at the Valenwood Islands .esm to know what the proper landmarks are.
Unfortunately I can't download it because the university halls I'm in
at the moment block Megaupload. Is there an alternative way I could
download it? |

He tried but the file was too large.
And now I hear that back home the internet's broken. Sorry, but this could be a while.
Don't worry though... I'll use the time well. That quest will be good
when it's ready, I promise. Action, yes, exploration, yes, but also a
difficult moral choice that I think will make it stand out from most
other mods I've come across.
You'll get to know both sides well, and understand their motives.
Choosing a side will be so hard that some undecided players may be
tempted to sit the final battle out! |

Awesome summary, choice quests are always the best - the environment
change and alien world will need exploring and I'm sure choosing ones
side will give rise to this investigation of the islands.
I cant think of another way for the file to be transfered, I'm not much of a techie but I hope a way can be found!

Its amazing dude i'm very impressed. Sorry for lack of responce but I
have had literally no time lately. We had a compertition then 80
students. Have only a few nights of in the last few weeks. The nights I
do i'm so tired from 5AM nights I sleep early. This week I should have
more time.
Umm about the .esm I could upload it somewhere else I suppose but I
dont have much time to spendf on the net (only go online at work out of
hours) Suppose I could leave it uploading throughout the day. Wheres a
good place for me to put it? |

Unfortunately I have severe internet connection problems at the moment,
so I can't download it even from here I'm afraid. But the problems are
being fixed.
I am still writing the rest of the quest though. I know the basic
locations on the islands, and I've suggested a few more, which could
always be changed to ones you've already done if necessary. |
