Tamriel Rebuilt has some interesting Nord concept art. They have a rather nice architecture gallery.

Yeah, I hope when we do the really cold, mountainous regions we can have some of those mammoth bone homes.

well ancient man also used mammoth tusks in makin their shelters...
like the nomadic folks following the great herds into America... those
Asians became what are now called, the Native Americans.... I hate how
they are called Indians... and I also hate how the white USAs are
called Americans.... ugh... hates it so much, yes I do.... hate it hate
it! |

Here are some of the concepts Danath_in asked me to whip up. They're
still highly conceptual, the critter isn't final, and the runes don't
spell anything intelligible. Please give me your thoughts.

the runestone is perfect in my opinion.
the critter is looking very very good..
the single rune I dont think I would change that.
thats my 2 cents worth anyway

Two new armor concepts, I've had these for a while and just needed to upload them.
The first one is basically just a troll hide with iron plates over top
of it, when OB comes out we can probably just take the Iron Armor and
texture over everything but the plate with the troll texture. Its light
weight for heavy armor, and keeps the wearer nice and warm up in the
mountains, though it might not smell to pleasant. The armor would
probably be on par with Orchish, and quite common in the high mountains
of Skyrim.
The second is some kind of armor for guards or royalty. The plate is
meant to be silver, and the chain bronze. I havn't got a lot of ideas
on this one.

Ok, that texture looks good, I'm not really sure about the shield for
the guard armor, couldn't think of anything good for it. |

Maybe a round shield?

thats a fine example of celtic knotwork and animal stylization.
As far as the guards shields heraldry goes I am currently working on a
design for each hold. having some problems with the round shield wich
was actualy my first thought. now what I would like to know is this
what do you all feel is a good alternitive to the round shield for this.

My friend, you put my own work to shame. I love the cities! I really
hope that we can get locations in our mod to look like 1 and 3. As for
2, it could make a great Riekling Settlement. |

Nice drawing, and thanks for bringing up high roofed houses, when we
get a proper exporter I'm gonna put someone to work on creating a high
roofed tileset. With armors we're keeping in mind the climate, note the
troll hide and barborous armros. Also the house would probably be more
realistic with wood shingles, since in Skyrim nice long grass is hard
to come by in cold regions. |

Last night I redid it using the all-mighty ruler to make it look less
collapsing, though I havn't had time to scan it in yet. I'll post it up
tommorow probably.
I've also got some other ideas for some tents, and maybe some armour, so I'll do those when I get the time.
