and I found a way to describe it the feeling: the TES feeling. really just when I started oblivion up for the first time

We are not having a council or a senate. We will only have the moot at some point in the MQ, however it will shortly dissolve again. The holds rule seperatly under their own rule.

Ok, but I don't think that will be very likely, As the elder council has 30 seats, and that will mean that skyrim takes 9 of the 30 seats. I don't think that will be accepted by the other provinces. I think that only the three most important holds have a Elder Counciller.
( I am the former leader of the government/council mod so I'm very obsessed with this subject :) )

There would probably be someone from Winterhold on the council, seeing as it is the capitol.

However it isn't Important to our mod as we aren't dealing with Cyrodiil and so the person/people on the council won't be in our mod.

I would imagine that each hold has a seat on the imperial council.

3 representatives per province is probably a reasonable number of delegates for the Elder Council... that leaves 6 seats in total for Cyrodiil as the main province of The Empire.

You've also got the fighter's Guild and the mage's guild seats to think off.

But really this is getting off topic and isn't important what so ever.

6 of which 2 would be for the Fighter's and Mage's Guild, but it's not important.

no cyrodill has also 3 councillors, the other three seat are for the elder-chancellor, the advisor of the emperor (as the council and emperor ar not each other best friends) and a seat for the representive of the church (nine divines). The guilds don't have a own councillors but some councillors are supporters of the guilds so they do have infleunce.

(sorry for beening off-topic)

It's not official, but it makes more sense.

Excuse me, but the word "Baron-king" sounds awful compared to Jarl.

There isn't a lot about the current political climate of Skyrim, however there is some interesting little tidbits of lore scattered here and there. Most of it is contained within this article on TIL.

There hasn't been a legitimate heir to the throne of Skyrim for a long time... not a problem. Pleased

But that is because Skyrim hasn't been united in a long time. There probably is still a strong line of Kings who have a right to claim the throne.

Although this is of little importance , would that line be the Ysgramor dynasty?

I think the Empire is key in ensuring Skyrim remains split between squabbling holds. Any descendants of the original rulers of Skyrim would likely be unaware of their heritage, and the existing Kings and Barons would probably be less than keen to give up any power.

i'd have thought that the baron-king of winterhold or windhelm would be in the bloodline of those thanes or what they were called
