Odds are though that it will take much closer to 5 0r 6 years. At
skyrim we've been going for at least 2 years, and we still probably
have another two to go. We aren't even trying to create the entire
province anymore. When all these province mods started up way back
when, I don't think anyone had any idea just how long they would take. |

I hope you guys know that you're most likely not going to get
permission to do Summerset here. After this, I don't think you are even
going to be able to do a single part of Summerset, which is probably
the most difficult province to do. If you're giving up Tamosh, then
that's it.

Yeah, we are in need of modders in ST, currently there are only us two,
me and Zurke and few others completing the city of ST plus there are
all the dungeons, regions and models. The release of 3.0 will be
slightly closer if there are more peple doing the big mod.

This is actually good advice, and should be considered, theirs nothing
to stop you from continuing your other projects at a slower pace and
even possibly being able to make something that benefits the ST mod and
the BC mods..
Personnally I have always thought that all the BC projects were short
handed and that if the resourses were managed a bit differently some of
the mods could be closer to completion than not
but thats just my thoughts looking from the outside, I'm sure theirs
other things to consider and I know many of you work the different
projects and some have their particulars.. kinda like me sticking with
es3

Every team needs some concept artists, writers, modelers, textures and
CS user for interiors, exteriors, NPC's, scripts and dialogues.
But I see that there are more concept artists and literature writers then modelers or exterior makers.
I think that there should be more modelers and texturers if the mod is going to use a lot of new models.

Agreed, but we can not decide what other people will or can do, any
contribution is good and if your talents are writing or drawing or
vocals then welcome and join in the fun.
What appears to me as a major contributor to this issue of talents and
resourses is individual preferences rather then a team concept
please don't mis understand what I'm leading to. We are a team and we
help each other out, However, the BC projects as a whole suffer because
the resourses are spread out over 6 projects rather than 1 or 2, even
though the assets are shared, their is no particular focus.

I'm flattered by some of the things mentioned about me in this thread,
but I think your belief in my powers is misplaced. In cases like these
I'm just the extended arm of the Beyond Cyrodiil leaders as a whole. I
carry through the democratic votes that sometime takes place in my
capacity of forum admin.
So, I didn't set up these boards because I necessarily wanted to or
felt like it but rather because the project was voted into BC in a vote
amongs the mod leaders. Any other major action on my part would be
following a similar vote, and removing Tamosh and replacing it with a
Summerset Isle mod would certainly qualify as a major action.

I d0 not recall any literature that says Firsthold has any Savanna,
Their are few mentions of firsthold terrain features, but what is their tends to think otherwise
If you read King Edward, (Reunion at Firsthold) one would get the
impression that Firsthold or in the vacinity of is a thickly forrested
area with lots of rugged hills, the air is thick ( a different word was
used to describe it) which would also indicate forrested
I've read this similar description in another text
I would definitly make an effort to find this literature which contridicts the more commonly believed description regardless
The Screenies do look nice though

Don't jump too fast on changing anything, one thing to learn quickly is
before doing something do the research and then get confirmation from
others, their my be other text I am unaware
of or have not had time to read that gives more detail than what
is indicated in my previous post

Hi guys,
I saw this thread and decided to look up Firsthold myself on TIL. I found this:

It's a long read, but it takes place mostly in Firsthold and Summurset.
It has bits and pieces of descriptions of the landscape. I read all of
it (took me a long time), but I gleaned some info from that (I should
have took notes while I read it, though).
Firstly, this is an unfinished book series by Marilyn Wasserman, who
was employed by Bethesda for Arena and Daggerfall. She says, "These
books should be regarded as historical novels, not official lore or
history." (You can read the disclaimer at the very bottom of the link
in yellow text). However, it still means she was most likely aware of
what Bethesda meant Firsthold/Summurset to be like, and so wrote this
series accordingly with proper descriptions.
What I gleaned: Firsthold is a very green and forested place. Here is a snippet of what was in the text -
"Edward's gaze roamed the deep green woods and rugged hills. There was
no sign of habitation. "It's lovely," he said politely, "but not so
beautiful as High Rock," he added out of loyalty and truth. "Are there
no towns or villages or farms?"
"The Firstborn live nestled deep in the trees. And they do not tear up
the earth and plant anew, but take gladly what Auriel offers, and make
return. Ahhh, the green smell of growing things."
Other notes:
1) Some of the people live in houses in trees: "Moraelyn's hand on his
shoulder steered Edward toward the largest tree he'd ever seen. The
trunk was hollow; steps inside led up; openings gave out onto more
steps and bridges along and among the mighty branches. They proceeded
along these until they reached a large canopied platform, furnished
with seats and chests as if it were a room."
2) there is a bush that grows "glowberries" or berries that glow in the dark, though they look dull grey during the day.
3) there are tusked pigs, that have piglet litters in tunnels hidden by bushes; there are deer; there are rats
And that's all I remember reading and could find in her book series regarding landscape, flora, and some fauna.
