The decision to include Thras as an official member of Beyond Cyrodiil was taken on May 20th 2007 [¤], however the project had already started going downhill prior to that approval. Ten days earlier the thread "Where'd everyone go?" shone the light on the fact that essentially, the initial buzz was over. Activity continued, albeit on a low level, for a few more months over the summer of 2007.

By the end of the year it had become clear that the project was dead. In a post from December 2007 [¤] The Old Ye Bard stated simply that the project was being reorganized. In a post further down in that thread from March 13th 2008 [¤] he outlined the details of that reorganization, which basically meant turning Thras into another project entirely. With that in mind, as well as the fact that the project was dead and had little to no progress for half a year, the Beyond Cyrodiil mod leaders voted through a decision to close the books on Thras. It exists now in this archived form, for those interested to know what it was and for those interested in the information found here.
