Ok, i've "finished" the Naginata now :D

It is "finished" because i'm having a little problem with a strange white line popping up in third person view, but i'll fix it( I hope less i'l just put the whole naginata on ice)

Make the blade perhaps little longer. Too bad we can't have swirling cloth on it; it was used to confuse enemies in historical refference.

The new animations would slow down gameplay really bad. So while I do think the cloth would look good in theory, my logical side says *Your computer will die* I dunno

I just wanted to say that i've decided to redo the naginata, I never figured out how to fix that damn problem Confused and as the perfectionist I just can't live with a stupid white stripe showing up at a sertain distanceI dunno , just need to make the blade now and the new model will be finished Tongue

Yeah. Well, they're easier to make then let's say static pieces like arhitecture and the hardest thing to model and rig; armors, something that VW desperatly needs.

Um....maybe....And what's this about architecture? If we need some modelled i'll do it, I haven't been doing many weapons lately because everyone else seems to want to do them anyway xD.

Oh and with rigging is that just attatching the oblivion skeleton to my mesh then changing junk in nifskope?

I'm not sure about the process of rigging, check out the CuteUnit tutorials or PM her. About architecture, have you seen the new ones concepted for us? Not Silvenar palace, the ones in the first post of the thread Architecture Concept . Do you think you could make an exterior tile set like the concepts suggest?

If not tileset then perhaps model the smaller one. It would be greatly appreciated either way :D

Hm...the link to the rigging tutorial seems to be broken at the moment, i'll have to try it later. As for that building, it looks amazing Eek 2 and i'll have a go at modelling the smaller one. Doesn't look to easy though and might take me awhile.

Ok, here's the new naginata model, I made it a little less kwan dao and a little more naginata. Which basically means that I made the blade longer that the last one, which didn't work. I have figured out the secret of making good render pictures now :D I just had to size my model down Tongue

Naginata finished Tongue I had the same damn white line this time to, but I thought it therefore had to be an texture problem, which it was(no need to go in further detail)

Anyways the naginata is now ready, screenies:

*note that this is a very sunny day and that the blade isn't that yellow all the time, same shade as the rest of the weapons

I decided to make the handle shorter that on a real naginata, since valenwood is basically just a big forest(correct me if i'm wrong Tongue )

Well I was rather bored today and this is what I came up with.


I noticed that not a lot of models have been posted lately, well apart from Chrissloe's Naginata and shield which by the way both look awesome Good job! , so I thought I would make something up to post here Wink .
