Unfortunately, while i have tweaked the model so that the guy holds it correctly, i think i messed up the uv maps or something, cause the handle looks really strange with a texture. (this is why i don't model usually) I've spent about an hour in nifskope and 3ds trying to fix it, but i would like to hand this to someone who has at least some idea of what they are doing. Luckily the mesh is still good, just the texture is weird. (when i exported it out of 3ds, it didn't include a texture with it, could that be it? if so how do i fix it. i'll continue working on it until an actual modeller volunteers)
[edit] i have purged the evil demons from my pickaxe using blender and nifskope! yay. looks a bit better too, cause my hands aren't inside the handle Leader of the Morag Tong Hail Mephala

Check this mod out. A very nice mod, and although a bit buggy, is a very cool mod to try out and creates a whole new feel to Oblivion. It is dependant on OBSE (Oblivion Script Extender), but that allows much more modding potential to make stuff like this. We could get the creator's help as well to make a similar mod for Silgrad. A potential use for this as well is to make a new skill based system of crafting, where you can make unique items unfindable anywhere else in the game.
