Assignments
We will be posting specific requests in this thread.
I know that Keilanai has proposed a number of unique items that would be wonderful additions to the game. Kodama has said we need a blue crystal skull. There are other things that Necron is working on but doesn't seem to have time to complete. We would love to hear from any modellers that have the time and energy to complete these things.

I'll do the blue crystal skull thing, as long as it's just a re-texture (haven't got models into Oblivion yet).

RE: Assignments
What were some of the items Keilanai requested?
I'm currently trying to get the hakama pants in game while making a in depth tutorial along the way. Doing some more simple static objects would be a nice change from facegen and clothing. Since Keilanai seems she might be out for awhile, I'll get the stone lanterns textured. These lanterns seem to be made from granite most the time, so I was going to use a clean granite texture, a dirty granite texture and then a mossy granite texture. That will make 3 varieties of each lantern. Would you like more versions? (dark stone. light sone, etc) There is a guy on the Elder Scroll Forums (jcarl or something like that) that is releasing a mod with a ton of masks. I sent him my Noh masks to use with his collection. When he's done I'll get my completed .nifs for you guys. |

That is wonderful RA! One of the things Kielanai was looking for was flat rocks. She definitely wanted the stone lanterns. I think there is other stuff posted in the thread by Necron asking for suggestions on modelling.
Thanks again RA.

Okay, yeah I know that post. Okay I will take care of the flat rocks then. This Saturday I should have several good hours to work on things, and I'll be able to knock the rocks out. Texturing for the lanterns shouldn't take too long either.
I have the mochi models she wanted also. One question about that, One of the objects is a decent size mallet. Should I make this just a typical object you can pick up and collect, or make it a weapon you can use? Granted it would have really low stats, but I think it would be kinda of neat to have everday items to be used as weapons in case one needed to defend themselves and that was all that was available. Any thoughts on this? Anytime I finish a project I'll load it up on rapidshare, unless told otherwise. Should I make a new post each time I do this or is there a particular thread that you would like me to use? |

Just create a thread in this folder with your name on it and post your links there. And thanks bunches. We all really appreciate this.
Go ahead and make a weapon of it. You are right in that thought process. It would also be unique even if very low stats. :lmao:

ra5946, the mallet should be used as a weapon, it would be a perfect weapon for poor people and slaves :check:
And you could make a swordsmith's version of the mallet too, in that case it would be best if we had a short and a long version, the short hammer is for the "kaji" (swordsmith) and the long two handed mallet is for the "sakite" (assistants) And about the stone lanterns, light and dark versions would be nice to have. We could use the dark lanterns for ruins (dungeons).
