First cut of all 5 models
The files are here on FileFront. This is a first cut with both mapping and textures. The primary bark tex is by ev1 and the secondary bark and broadleaf texes were made by Grey and I for a SpeedTree BC tree project. The models themslves are of course by The Modax Jago. I believe the moss tex is already in the ST folder; if not I'll UL it here. Since 7-Zip doesn't seem to have support of "sparse" folder archives,

Wow, these are just great...
Now some feedback: -Since these are Cs Screenshots (i think), I cannot say for sure, but some textures could use a higher resolution texture. -The transition (is that how it's called? [I'm dutch]) between ground and tree could be smoother, I'm not exactly sure how this could be done (maybe the ground has to be rougher and then it would be better). We just had a talk with SACarrow about this, and like he said this is only a first cut, this is not at all how the trees will look like. Personally it helped me spot the parts that need fixing and think of what I have to do to fix them, and I think it helped SACarrow in the same way.
Right now I'm not happy with how my textures look and like the poster above me said they will need to be of higher resolution. I promise the next screenshots will be much better.

it is fantastic , but i can make speedtree . i teach senten to it , so we can make spt trees (but there is a problem we can use it only in the tes c.s. 1.0)
it not important to be in spt but i just want to write that to you |

wix: If you and Senten can use SpeedTree to make trees like the ones in this thread, that would be really cool & appreciated. I tried ST briefly, but I was never good enough to get the "Trees of Pangaea" feel that I thought was necessary for the Bitter Coast.
A couple of notes:
Thanks for the modelling frenzy, Steve |

Just a comment about the models themselves - the trunks of the trees seem much higher than they did in morrowind, where the leafy parts were quite a bit lower to the ground, making the swamps seem less open (which is a good thing, it's a swamp).
Here's an (admittedly untextured) screenshot from nifskope of one of the original BC trees. From what i can see (purely in nifskope), and what i remember of MW, it seems like some of ST's trees would benefit from shorter, stouter trunks. Just my opinion, and the models look really good in general shape and appearance - could just be shorter Leader of the Morag Tong Hail Mephala

Any progress on the trees? From the posts below it looks like SpeedTree versions were going to be made, which would be really cool.
Just wondering if anybody can give an estimated time when we'll have SpeedTree versions of these, or if the models which we have now are more or less the final versions. - not to rush anybody of course, I just would like to know for planning purposes Leader of the Morag Tong Hail Mephala
