On guard duty Rockguard The Inn of Rockguard The sheeps Sheepfold Rockguard 2 Just some new screenies with a lot better graphics. Yes people. I got a new laptop. Ooh, and Deeza. Have you started working on the Interiors yet? If not I was thinking about expanding rockguard a bit. It's rather small so far. But on the other hand. That might also be a good thing. Opinions?

I guess it depends on what sort of town we want it to be - do you want it to be a real outpost, mostly military with only a few civilians (like at the moment), or a larger area?
I quite like the idea of it being a small, isolated outpost myself. It's more atmospheric.

Deeza sent me the file and, despite having some problems with it, I managed to merge it with the new esm. However, I had to relocate it from -7,8 to -20,01 so that it would fit with the correct map proportions. Owing to various issues, this new, merged version will be missing ground textures and possibly some markers or other administrative items so I'm hoping that B2M and Deeza can get back to work on this and finalise it once the whole thing has been put through the Blackwood region generation process. Anyway, that's all of the exteriors for the Blackwood settlement done.
Bear in mind that the other knock-on effects of this may include changes to the height mapping to accommodate the settlement's new position (I just did this by hand) and a strange, bumpy and fully textured piece of terrain on the spot where Rockguard once stood.

I think a smaller outpost is fine, giving the guards the real feeling of being "lost". Most of them already hate their surroundings, the "unnatural" environment and just want to go home to their families. This might go as far as to open hatred between some of them, since they're literary stuck here, in the same boat, not able to avoid each other, liking or not. The outpost only being a small village with barelly being others than themselves would only add to the "creepy-feeling-factor".
Two, it somewhat looks like the towers have been connected underground. As I think I'm claiming the tower's interior, should I link them? Maybe using a secret door or an underground tunnel? Should the second one even have a door? Since on the screens it doesn't look like he's having one so far.

Agreed on all counts. I kind of like the idea of there being only one door. It might give us options in terms of quests if we have certain areas restricted in such a way or, on the other hand, it might interest the stealth-based gameplayers to sneak past the guards on their way to the second tower.
