I don't have in game screenshots atm, but here are few in nifskope:
In game they have imperial banners, ropeladder and watchman on the top. I really like the look of them in game. The other palisade is maybe this wooden fort by Mr. Siika: Link is here: http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=25660 It seems to me that there was at least one more, but I don't recall which one or where it was. Anyway, I like the looks of vanilla ruined forts, but as ruins. Attempts of creating working forts with them often look awkward to me. If I get any ideas or concepts I'll show them to you. If you need some small models in the meantime that don't take much time, I'd like to offer you my services. (but nothing big because of time shortage for now) for example those battlements on the top of your fort now look strange and could use a new model. And also, I don't know if you've seen, but Meo is currently making nice Castle resource which is highly modular and it could be used for a fort maybe? http://tesalliance.org/forums/index.php?...entry57648 Edit: thumbnail Edit2: but wrong one, corrected Edit3: I have just re read and I see that the fort is abandoned? If completely, then maybe it would be run down on purpose to prevent falling into enemy hands? But I suggest leaving at least some imperials to operate there. I have remembered one more palisade - the one in WAC, but it's more for camps then for permanent structures (at least not for the glorious imperial army) and besides, I don't know what's Waalx' opinion on giving it. But it looks good (for camps and some villages (that especially). |

Yes, that's the mod I was referring to (mr_siika's resource which I couldn't find despite doing an advanced search on TesNexus, for some reason).
Waalx is great! I like those models and we like his work (and previous contributions) generally. Personally, I don't think that Meo's resource that you linked to there will offer us much more that is unique or fitting than the Unique Forts themselves. I've always liked walkways and could use something like that elsewhere but possibly not here....at least not with those walls. Fort Swampmoth would need to be quite solid as it's of Imperial construction but it would also need to survive in a marsh. In which case, would it make sense for me to think that if stone were to crack it could crumble all the way as opposed to wood which might be more manageable and repairable? I'm not an engineer or architect so I wouldn't know...but I do feel it's quite questionable if Tamriel is full of ruined forts and BM has one grand one. So by all means, if you could adapt mr_siika's model or create your own then this would be great. I was actually considering using these models as the outer rim of the Fort together with a ruined inner section of the original Fort that led to the main interior. If mr_siika's tileset could be adapted (if he would allow that) or if you made the models from scratch then it would be nice to have something customised for the marshes that's more akin to Waalx's constructions. The only other thing to bear in mind is that we're already using MEO's settlement resource for Hixinoag and Hixinoag is very close to the proposed location of Fort Swampmoth. All of this leads us to the ultimate question of: how do you envisage Fort Swampmoth? Well, I guess it would be more solid than MEO's settlements but perhaps any development along the lines of mr_siika's resource would look a little like the first pic here laid out in a rough approximation of the second pic with the stone Fort in the centre, wooden towers splayed around, maybe water gates over the streams and perhaps the odd walkway stretching between the towers. Would you be interested in tackling such a task, pero? Oh, and Swampmoth, according to lore, has been abandoned by the Empire so no Legionnaires will be there. As for the 'Royal Legion' of the Black Marsh itself, that may be another matter entirely.
