Yes, that's kinda cool. It would help us to vary the NPCs a little so it's not too Argonian-heavy and would fit quite nicely into questlines for the Royal Court. Good thinking! :goodjob:
This has been on my mind lately, actually. The Royal family are likely to reside in Helstrom, the capital but I had wondered who might inhabit the Castles of the main cities. Lords and Vassals were my initial ideas but I don't see why these Lords shouldn't regularly play host to the Ambassadors from other countries as well. The question is: do we base the embassies in the cities or in the Castles of the main cities themselves?

Quote:Originally posted by Johnny-Luk@That knights of the swamp Idea sounds a lot like a guild of rangers I was once part of in DnD. lots of druids in that group too, but barely anything you could really call a "knight" The necromancers is a good idea. where better to set up shop with illegal business than where the empire has minimal hold? |

Yes, I especially like the ranger idea. It would only be a minor faction though and I think it's something that we can add later. At the moment, we're looking at established factions that might have an impact on the layout of the cities. These are ones that might also have large numbers of people as members. I'm not so sure about the idea of a necromancer's guild....it's been done a few times. It would have a Bhuru (voodoo) zombie slant to it, methinks.....maybe a special type of rogue shaman although this would basically be the same principle as the vanilla quest and I'd like to avoid that.

I like this idea
Quote:Originally posted by fwp_coderI think this could be a really cool idea because it fits in with the landscape. Y'know, the whole jungle/marshland theme. It seems like a great place to set up hidden organisations and ambushes etc. A bit like the guerillas in Just Cause.
Trespassers will be shot.
Survivors will be shot again. |

It's a little like KuKulZa's original idea of the Khanaten Liberation Army. I haven't completely dispensed with the idea, just merged it with the Ka'Pura tribe in this list: List of Factions . The sort of quests you suggest would very much fit with our aims. Hopefully, we can get Factions, creatures and NPCs sorted now that we have a substantial, established landscape.

I think that all of this information is now very out of date, as the factions were resolved months ago in different threads to this one.
