We should have a town project to inspire the members to start working, and than when we get good progress start media releasing. When we get some custom models, and dungeon sets we can do trailers, and get more new members.
The town could just be pasted onto the heightmap, but its important we get members. If we get started with the Heightmap, we can do Seyda Neen (alot of people were familar with it) and when Hlaalu is done we can do those interiors, and when we get that area layed out we can do the exterior. |

You can't just paste a town on to it... it has to conform to the land. If you pre-make it and try to put it on the landmass later, you'll end up having to redo pretty much all of it.

To add on to that, the wilderness. http://www.silgrad.com/wbb2/attachment.p...entid=5313 That is why I want a proper heightmap merging solution. Notice the tiledness/seaming, especially with the mountains. Come on, I want the wilderness to kick ass. |

high quality is unimportant if there is nothing to have a high quality of...
I wouldn't mind if you took about two weeks on the heightmap just to make it good, but that should've started at least a few weeks ago... quality is a good thing, but we cannot afford to let this mod die just to have it.... it's like starving to death waiting for a tastier dish, rather than eating food that is right infront of you by the way, glad you and TID are comparing heightmap stuff, but I would ask of you guys to be on more often and come to a conclusion faster, time is very important |

I say go for 6 * 6, 7 * 7 may be pushing it. We don't even know if it is possible. :\ I'll try and get this map into a grid.
So, mainland visible or no? |

Quote:Originally posted by TheImperialDragonNo. Hmm... even at 6*6 quads, it's 4.5 times larger than TES3's Vvardenfell. As for 7*7... if we are somehow able to use that extra space, I'd just make it empty ocean LOD. |

Alright, I took a GIMP grid to the map, as you can see, most of the entire west border is not at all used...
I realize it may not be completely accurate, but it is good for reference I hope. I can try to raise the contrast if you think that would help... |

there IS the Firemoth (island) in the southwest part of the inner sea... but I don't think that will take up much space... though it wouldn't hurt to have volcanically induced islands popping up, I dunno if that is a great idea though i kinda like it... just a few small atolls to make firemoth a real archipelago.. hrug:
otherwise I can't think of anything else to put in the west |

Axen, is the map okay? If you want, I can try and do another one.
