Helseth's Morrowind Legion --- ideas

this is an idea of mine

alright... Helseth needs his own army of sorts as he cannot rely on Hlaalu and Dres, they are not totally under his control but are good subjects. I think he would want his own army for his own purposes, sorta like how he had a goblin army, except this is his official one. He also cannot rely on the remnants of the Imperial Legions for war-service.
Now I have thought deeply on the subject and I think he is going to model his legions on Imperial kinds and also some aspects of Great Houses.

Now as for the organization, there must be no House affiliation whatsoever, all loyalty within those legions are to Helseth. They must be led by capable leaders and also be wel equipped. They will be mostly recruited from Dunmer.

I am thinking that the army will be organized like this:
Helseth
Generals
Captains
Legionnaires

There will be four Morrowind Legions, one stationed near Mournhold or Ra'athrim Ebonheart, either one. Another two Indoril territory fighting in the civil war, and yet another sent to Vvardenfell.... Helseth doesn't even fully trust in them and so has them far off fighting somewheres... he is paranoid about assassination, like most kings who use it as a tool

I think they would wear steel armor but it would be metal plates on netch or kagouti/alit leather, therefore a semi-light metal armor. the cuirass would have Helseth's emblem on it. The army would be very uniform and loyal.
They would be armed with light oval shields and use broad-swords for a versatile chop, slash, or thrust. They would be more like support groups from the Hlaalu or Dres armies, forming a sort of shock-trooper role.

I would have said Helseth would have some special corps. armed with crossbows but... yeah


so let me know your ideas, I know there is no lore for it but it is a sensible idea...

Hmm... I would imagine their armor being different from that, though. (And keep in mind there's no "medium armor" skill in TES4...)

yours was about Helseyh's guard force, not his own legions, please pay attention

You should be able to join Helseths legions, and rise to the top and become his main general. This could tie into teh house war since he is on Hlaalus side.
