Excellent house gundalf, I really hope you make a whole set of them! On the topic of Morrowind Imperial Architecture, I heard it brought up a while back that the Imperial Castle/Fort Set from Morrowind was going to be remodelled, was that just a rumor? (Sorry for going a bit off topic)

The textures need some improvement. But it looks pretty cool. Nice one!
If you can't get someone out of your head maybe they're supposed to be there.

Yes I know. It's old. I think I'll replace the lower wall texture, add some more detail to the upper wall's, use a better wood and redo the window texture.

[1ST]T[/1ST]his is what a heightmap looks like, this is what it does when it catches hold of you, it's eating me alive and very soon now it will kill me.

Personally I loved the textures you used. The only one that might not be great in my opinion is the one around the window sill, but it's hard to tell from the image. The textures you created back then, in my opinion, starchly contrasts against Oblivion's more photorealistic textures and they look and feel like true oldskool game textures - which I guess for oldies like me can make the houses look even more cozy and homely. I dunno... but I know I wouldn't have liked it as much if it was textured to look like a house from real life.
(A plane with a transparant texture that can be modded in to make it seem like there are cracks in the yellow plaster at random places would be a very nice extra, if possible)

Good idea with the plane.... Most of the textures aren't mine, though. The lower wall and window textures are freeware. The roof texture is Max's tut_shingles (IIRC), which Beth also used. The lower wall texture will be replaced with bricks to match Morrowind. I just have started retexturing it and created a diamond shape window texture. |

Quote:Originally posted by gundalf Perfect Interesting, I didn't know Bethesda used stock Max textures in places! Identifying those would make it very easy to bring in exactly the same textures as the ones in TES3 without worrying about Bethesda's copyright. But the shingles they used in TES3 had to be smaller in size than the stock Max textures, right?
