I need some help with the blender tool...
I've decided to try 3d modelling with the blender tool. Unfortunately, every time I start up the blender, I get the following message:
Quote:quote originally by: TheImperialDragon's computer: I can still do stuff with the blender, but if I close this dialog box, the blender closes. Another problem is I can't seem to be able to change from Object mode. Can some kind soul please save me from the cybernetic cage I'm imprisoned in that is limiting my freedom to mod? ;( |

Doh. I knew I was forgetting something! :bash:
EDIT: I can't seem to be able to do anything right tonight, so I'll probably be logging off early... Where do I get Python? |

Hi,
I just got blender as well and have the same message. I looked it up on some forums and those guys said not to worry about it... you don't really need it unless you want to change something that blender does (developement for blender). Also blender comes with python already in it, so there's no need to download it again. As far as getting out of object mode you just need to hit that TAB key (you need to have an object in there to be able to do that, so if you don't want the standard cube, just go in hit tab to get into edit mode, then press X key to delete the cube then space bar and add whatever you want). And don't close that dialog box, I think it's supposed to shut down blender. Hope this helps. Thanks, Ralen

Well, I couldn't do edit mode until I downloaded another Python, so I dunno. It works now, so thanks anyway.
