Imperial Union
Was thinking maybe we could wrap all the imperial guilds into one with 3 branches. First being the Legion/Fighters which would be Military. Second would be the Traders which would focus on Economic plans and 3 being political movements. Their General could be Frald the White I forget the name of the guy in the East empire building and someone for head of the council. Just thought I would throw this out there.

I'd stay away from the word "union" (too modern IMO), but I like the general idea. Ebony's call since it is his idea (also IMHO). So, what guilds/factions/jobs would the higher Governor branch be responsible for?
I don't think we should wrap all guilds under there, just the ones answering directly to the Empire, or are under direct Imperial control (which might be most of them...). Economics... EEC is sort of run by the Empire (not directly), so that would fit under economics, I imagine Mages would probably fit here as well (since they answer indirectly to the Empire in a way). Military is pretty obvious. Government gets the higher authoritie people and politicians and those guys. Maybe a few royal representatives too. Again, your idea, your call. I'm interested in hearing more about the individual branches. |

considering there already exists EEC, Mages Guild, Fighters Guild, Legion, and of course the dead Thieves Guild... and the Imperial governorship... how is an 'Imperial faction' gonna cover all of it? ?(
I mean I'd say go for it those things didn't already exist, how will we fit it all in? Ebonyknight, what are/were your plans/ideas for such a faction? |

My plans would be now this is just a thought of mine.... As we said all Imperial Factions suffered a major set back in Morrowind due to war, new laws, crime, and many other things. We could say have representatives from each faction. We would have say 1 guy from the Fighters guild 1 guy from the legion, 1 mage from MG, 1 thief from TG, 1 Trader from the EEC, and 1 Politican and they all said we need to fix things around here to regain around monopoly military economic magic and criminal powers. So they decided they would form a Union or rebuild into 1 large Faction. With 3 main branches and being Military Economic and Political. Other 2 minor branches being thievery and magic.

hmmm....
the only Imperial Guild that did not suffer a major set-back was the Mages Guild... they are powerful in Morrowind still, just they need a leader to guide them, but they have successfully survived in a land where the magical-trade and skill was dominated mostly by Telvanni wizards Fighters Guild is weakened by the Camonna Tong situation, and the Thieves Guild is nearly dead, basically a few here and there, but not really an organization anymore... as for the legion, they are more of a police force, seeing as how legion forces were small and decimated... and many pulled out... I mean Buckmoth (along with Ald-ruhn) was destroyed... but there is also the thing to consider: more Dunmer joining the legions because of Helseth's rise to power... and making the remaining Legion more Royal than Imperial if you get my meaning as for the EEC, they are suffering minor set backs... they need to readjust to Dres' new economical and political stance, that fact that Ravenrock is all out of Ebony, that Caldera is becoming a hot spot where Telvanni, Hlaalu, Imperials, and Redoran all want and only Redoran have a traditional claim, and Imperials a charter... and of course Nords, and other guerillas and pirates preying on shipments no longer well protected by a strong Imperial navy, much had been pull out... while I can't see there being much to do in any ONE faction... I can see that Duke Vedam Dren's position makes him have to deal with all of those... he conferences with legion commanders, regulates EEC trading ability, and of course works with the Nine Divines to convert more Dunmer and Imperialize culture, and also with the Mages Guild to thwart Telvanni plots... so what would a Duke Vedam Dren style faction be? i mean that faction would be a small and influencial political faction that would work with Legion, EEC, and Mages... it would be the Duke's administration... but what would that be called? unless we make a new faction... like the '__ Party' or something |
