It works very nicely together with the Gally and GallyDrop buttons. One you're registered on the gallery system you'll stay logged in as long as the cookie is in your system, so one can click GallyDrop, upload the pic, then click Gally and paste the filename and presto, we have a linked thumbnail. The perk is that you can both gally in as many images as you want, which you can't with attachments, but also that gallery images aren't locked the same way attached images are. So you can hotlink the images, like using them on a website or in an ESF post. The forum's way of doing it is pretty smart - for sites that have to worry about bandwidth. Our website account doesn't have any restrictions on bandwidth so hotlinking isn't really an issue.

My pet peeve: huge images in img code. I reserve the right to make any such image into a clickeable thumbnail whenever I see it. Angel mired in filth |

Heh... Just read your message RW. I'll do that next time
Right, this is just to check that my work is up to scratch. I'm not the best modeller in the world, and I know for a fact that many people on this board are rather good. It's a copy of furn_de_overhang_02. I think I remember RW mentioning that awnings were needed at some point. Old http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h290/T...6f9842.jpg New http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h290/T...3b1584.jpg Never used photbucket before, so if theres a password it's: 1205de I can add more detail if you guys think it needs it. I didn't want to go over the top. |

Neat
We didn't have an overhang exactly like that one before, so it's most useful thanks! If you want to add more details to it, perhaps you can add a detail that shows how the leather roof is connected to the wooden frame. Maybe a couple of nailheads? Or maybe a circular rope that goes around the pole and sticking into the leather, making it seem like the rope holds the leater in place? Just a thought. It's good the way it is though in case you don't want to

Cheers . Since putting the picture up I've thought about adding some rope coil around the arms attached to the drape... I'll Fiddle with it.
Do we need any more awnings(when this ones finished)? I thought I might as well work through a group of objects at a time. |

I made a small collection of the standard Redoran awnings, so most of those probably arn't nessisary. I think there are a couple other misc ones like the one you did that haven't been adressed, but I know for a fact we don't have one of those huge ones, like the one up by the mine entrance in gnisis, or the awning used at stilt strider ports.

In hindsight, true, there are probably more fruitful modelling jobs since Caligula made so many great awnings already. We didn't have the one you already made though, and that one will be very useful. The thread Open jobs for modellers and texture artists mentions the bigger modelling jobs that are left to be done. Though really it could be summed up as: everything from TES3 that isn't in the latest RP Alpha.
The most important job at the moment... hmm... I think that would be a Hlaalu interior tileset. Tilesets are an altogether different beast though, and they take a bit of practice to get right. But if you'd like to try then that would be great =) Besides that I would say traditional TES3 trees, particularly West Gash. I'm unsure if Caligula would like Bitter Coast trees modelled so naturally I'll leave that up to him to decide if he wants to or not. And in place number three on my highly subjective wishlist is plants from TES3: Morrowind: Tribunal. We don't have any of those, but seeing as we're on the mainland, we should. Everything else, in my subjective opinion, is equally important.

You can't make static trees and animate them later. You have to make SpeedTree trees. Good news is that it's called SpeedTree because you can make trees with it really fast.
