Quote:Luminous Russola Forgive my inherent Grammar Nazism, but everyone, everywhere on the forum say "Russola" when it should be "Russula" with two U like in "Ursula"... |

Here're the first tries of a "Rubellus Russula":

Thanks, I'll try them out and post back here.
Of those mushroom textures, I think the _01c version is looking the best, but _01b is also very good. EDIT: Or maybe just an edit, doesn't really matter. I like the effect, but unfortunately it's pretty hard to distinguish between the two types of Russula - at least in the CS (attached screenshots, left is normal, right is Rubellus). I think it is partly because of the normal map, but I don't think we should change it. Not unless you want to. Maybe you could make the whole cap texture more red? Maybe with a hint of orange? The stem and spore textures could also use new versions to match the cap, but they aren't a big priority. |

Cool. :goodjob:
I can't look at it in detail right now, but I promise I'll try it out later today. |

And here are two variations:

How much time/effort would be needed to swap the brown of the cap with the red of the spots and vice versa? If that could be done, I think the texture would be perfect. =)
