NifSkope Question
Howdy
When using NifSkope to Scale down the size of a model, what could be the cause of portions of the meshes disappearing as you move closer to it ? Enjoy Bob

I'm not sure that changing the scaling factor in NifSkope actually carries over to OB. Bob, you might want to search the Nifskope forum on that topic. The disappearance at certain angles sounds like an issue I had at one point with the mine rail set; over at ESF, they called it "culling". Apparently if certain things are not set correctly, the game decides that the PC cannot see the model (though he/she can) and doesn't render it.

I've had no issues with scaled down models in NIFScope for me. But you might want to look into what Sacarrow described, if it's a custom mesh then scaling it could do something with this "culling" making it more noticeable and whatnot.
Lol what?

This is a Vanilla MW mesh, the Ex_common_house_thatch
I scaled it down to .05 I gave it an ID and put it into one of the interiors I am making, but as I move around in the cell when I get close to it, the roof disappears, I will have to try it in game to see if it does the same thing, I have seen this happen before, coins, buttons, some lights, several of the sea creatures from Abot and farm animals from Cait do the same thing, but it doesn't effect the in game appearance, I'm hoping that is the same case Edit: Its not the same as descibed above, in game as you get closer to the houses portions of them dis-appear, on to Plan B Thanks Enjoy Bob

Afaik the center/radius in the TriStripsData defines when an object is affected by culling. I'm not sure if it works for meshes up-/downscaled in Nifskope, but you could try to use 'mesh>update center/radius' by right-clicking on the TriStripsData in Nifskope.
