Parenting education in school
I think this story is really funny.
Last night when I picked her up she very excitedly told me her baby had arrived. His name is Job. She then went back into the extended day room and came out with a bag of pinto beans in a baby blanket. She told me that I am a grandmother for a week. She calls my sister and leaves her a message to let her know about being an honorary great aunt for a week. My nephew calls back an hour or so later. Turns out he is an honorary uncle for a "flour" baby for 3 of his classes in school. He is "babysitting" while his friend, is in classes where she can't have the "baby" with her. I'm very glad that people are taking the responsibility of teaching kids about parenting seriously. This is truly funny to see in practice.

they gave some of the kids these really neat dolls that cried and had to be fed and everything. much better than a flower bad imho, not much to taking care of one of those. then again, nothing can really prepare you for a real child imho.
