Poems About Living On The Steet
Rats And Mice-
Living with the rats and mice, Surrounded by the cold and the lice, Afraid and beaten on this street, Where the lowest of the low meet. No reason to try to fight, My way back into the light, People can't see me anyway, they can't hear what I say. They walk past without blinking, Half-blind in this world that's half-sickening. Dreams - Dreams can make the time fly, But the same dreams make me cry, Dreams of a caring family and a home, Dreams where I am not alone, On the cold street, Where I rest my feet, Where I close my eyes, And dream more lies. --- I had to write these for English. We are doing a assembly about Poverty and life on the street, and they wanted a poem to read out. Guess who they think is the best at writing poems in the class...unfortuntaly me. And they think Rats And Mice is the best, so that's what will be read out. Luckily, I'm not reading it out at the assembly though. YAY! I don't have to get up in front of everyone in Year 9 at my school. Anyway, what do you think of the peoms? |
