Pool of Forgetfulness
I got an idea for the pool, if you didnt do anything with it, we can have a small mini quest to it. All it is about is that you go to a out post and speak with a guard there. They cant seem to figure out what this pool is, everyone who went there lost their strength and cant seem to fight anymore.
You travel to this pool. And you find out what it is. Once you go there, all you find is the pool. Activate it. And a message pop ups "Last chances are well given, mortal, reconsider you choice and ponder on it." All its saying is that you should save before you activate it. Once you activate it. You dont feel any different. But look at your stats and all the thisg you worked for such a long time are back to low. I am not sure about making the PC go back to level one, because there are some leveld quests that they might be part of. but overall, some people say that they dont like their setup, and want to start over, but they dont want to do all the quests. So this is an oppurtunity for them. And how about, if someone wants a face or gender change. They can go into the palne of sheogorath. |

well, it's the pool of forgetfullness. not all stats can get lower by forgetting them. strength for example. you perhaps forget how to fight but you don't lose you muscles.
I think it's a good idea to do something with the pool but perhaps something less drastic. how about if the pc forgets his entire past by clearing everything in the journal. :p (i am offcourse not serious here lol) |

it wouldn't be realistic, but I would like, that if you used it it erased you're journal an dyou could redo all the quests with you're higher levels and equipment. Kinda like how some games have a new game+ option.

i think the idea of this was so that u cud redo ur stats, without loosing all ur quest progress.... kinda like for those relaly high level people who have completed everything, but wanna try the game anew, with their sweet stuff...

I don't see how a pool causing memory loss could also suddenly time travel you back into the past.

Quote:Originally posted by Arklon he doesnt talk about timetravelling, just that you forget how to do everything and lose all skills. for example you forgot how to use a sword, so your blade skill is at 1 or something like that. but as i said before it's not possible with all stats. |

No, all i said is that you skills are back to normal, like ninja pirate said. The main thing i see a lot is that people ask if there is a way to start over without starting the quest over, and i think this pool is our answer.

I would like something like this to reduce my godlike character back to a reasonable level in the new province, but something optional so people don't have to use it if they don't want to. A pool or artifact sounds perfect to me. And scripting shouldn't be all that hard, since jail-time already does this on a much smaller scale.

yeah, that is good.... I was thinking of Ashlander quests the other day....
and Alandro Sul, Wraithmail, and the Pool of Forgetfulness cam to me.... they are relics from the first draft of TES3's origina; storyline... |
