Okay, if I get rid of the knot and the little gold bumps on the helmet, I can get it to around 8000- is that good?

Well, daedric bracers are 7.6k faces so you should be OK

Beremat, are the bracers really that much? Can you check out some other armor pieces, like the cuirass?

Okay- here's what I'll do-
I'll make one just as is, if you wanna put it in the game cool, if not that's cool too. I reallylike the know so maybe we can put just one in the game. I'll also make one as is, but remove the face (menpo?) so beast races can wear it. (Should I keep the know on this one or would the beast faces get in the way?) Then I'll make 2 versions or the lower poly helmet one with menpo, one without |

RA what program do you use to model?
And if blockiness is a problem you could try using a smoothing group (i think thats what its called) Edd

Okay here is the link for the helmets. They are in 3DS format. I can't run Oblivion, so I can't test them out. Hopefully one of you guys can get them in game. I also didn't make normal maps for them because I usually like to see how the texture looks in game before I mess around with the normals. Plus I didn't know if you (Kodama), wanted certain areas shiny.
Anyways- there are four versions 1. Full- has everything- highpoly 2. FullNoMask- same as above, but no mask part 3. Low- Low poly- knot is removed and helmet bumps are replaced with texture. 4. LowNoMask- same as 3 but no mask #1 has 18000 polys and #4 has 7000 Here is a pic- poly count lowers from left to right Here is file- let me know how things go Helmet Download |
