Quote:Originally posted by OrcishSexGodThere is no AI for the "other characters" to go to the exterior nor is there a pathgrid (in your version of the esm), so this is very strange. I'll check it. EDIT You altered standard packages. These packages are used by other NPC's in Steadhelm. The result: These NPC's come to your interior. Thanks for your explanation. EDIT I had a quick glance. It's looking really good!

F= Floating / B= Bleeding / S= Look at Screenshot / PG = Pathgrid / th = tetrahedron, point / sh = because of the silhouette / R = Resize / Re = Reposition / A = Adjust General info. Please add a version number to the name of your esp files. TIA Furniture is floating (a little) because of the silhouette (the CS assumes (after pressing "F") the bench (for example) is already on the floor, it's an error). Press once (sometimes twice) "F". All the furniture with silhouettes have the same problem. Use an activatorflamenode04 etc. it gives a nice sound of a burning fire. If you create a new interior try to position the first piece of the tileset at X,Y,Z = 0, 0, 0. Add a fooditem count -1 to the inventory of a NPC, in order to avoid stealing behavior. The Basement Check the furniture. For the next time try to position the interior at X,Y,Z = 0, 0, 0. Add a northmarker (static). MiddlePitcherTan01, F (on the floor) LowerBowlTan02, F, Re LowerClassBowl01, F, Re (on the chest) ClothBolt01,F, Re (on the cupboard) CrumpledPaper1, F (8 times on the floor) Callipers01, F, Re (on the chest) BroomFarm01, F, Re On the Lowerbar: Apples in the bowl, F, Re Ratmeat, F (3x) DrinkWine0Cheap,F LowerMugTan01, Check them all, F If you use havok, after swichting it off, select every object and press "F" Scythe01, F, Re LCChair01L near the bed is bleeding. Is there a reason? HouseServantMead, F (on the ground) Keep in mind that smaller objects near larger objects tend to float. LowerClassBowl03, F, Re (on the barrel) CrateClutterMiddle01, F LowerPants04, F (on the crate) Pickaxe01,F ,Re LowerClassCup03, F (on the floor 3x) Jug and cup on the barrel are floating. Pathgrid. Makes sure there are th's placed inside the sh's of the furniture (S). Don't place two th's on the same spot (S). NPC. Sethvis Add a fooditem count -1. Eigma Add a fooditem count -1. AI. Sethvis Find package. Don't use "in cell" it can give unexpected behavior. Sleep package. Don't select "once per day" as you defined the time. Eat package. Why did you select "continue if PC near"? If you're planning to claim more interiors it's useful to add the claimcode to the packages and all the other objects. That way it's easier to find packages etc. in the CS. It's not obligatory. Eigma The sleep package should start at time 13 because of the treat package. Dialogue. You could use (less typing) the add topic listing to the right of the result script listing. Set the priority for the quest to 6. General Remarks. As this is your first reviewed interior, I listed everything I saw. In order to make you aware of the problems in the reviewed interior. The main thing is: Can it be seen in-game? In this case many can't be seen. There are two kind of modders. One group will fix everything (for example JONJONAUG) the others only correct the floating etc. that can be seen in-game. Let me know how you think about that, so I could change the reviewing, accordingly. Assign the ownership of the basement to the faction or assign ownership to the items that the NPC's are using (bed, book etc.). Resuming. I like the way you decorated the place. It's good to see a new style of modding. This interior gives me the impression of house that is used for living (realistic). Well done! The review for the house will folllow later today.

Thanks a lot for the criticism and advice. I'll get to work fixing the things you listed soon. All of your advice has been taken on board, hopefully I won't submit a half-finished interior for review in the future! I can't believe that all of those things slipped by me!
The reasons a lot of the scheduling and stuff have some strange parameters is simply because I was experimenting with the different settings, and forgot to reset them back to defaults. Thanks again. |

F= Floating / B= Bleeding / S= Look at Screenshot / PG = Pathgrid / th = tetrahedron, point / sh = because of the silhouette / R = Resize / Re = Reposition / A = Adjust The Groundfloor. Check the furniture for floating. The doormarker is floating (my mistake). The doormarker for the trapdoor is floating because of the bear skin. BarrelFoodLow, F (near the the trapdoor) The clothbolds, Re, A TongsFarm01, F (because of the tongs01) The chairs are bleeding into the rug. The table. The jug and the mugs are floating. Resize (hold "S" and move the mouse) the cheese (partly floating). The crates are bleeding (twice (S)). UpperSilverPlateCandles01Yellow256, F, Re (on the crate) Palette01, F after that Readjust the paintbrush. MiddleTapestry11, B (twice) The First floor. Check the furniture for floating (bed). LowerShirt04, F (on top of the shelf, clothing tends to float press "F" twice) MiddleBookshelf04, F (perhaps you placed the shoes on the floor before you placed the shelf) CupboardFoodMiddleDrinks, B (intended?) Check the beer bottles they're bleeding (on the cupboard). One bottle is positioned a bit awkward. Check the items on the table they are partly floating (LowerClassBowl02 etc.) LowerCoveredPot01, F (twice, under the table) CandlestickFloor02Yellow384, F MiddleStool01, F (with the palette on top) MS14Canvas01, Re, A, and the other one PaintBrush03, F (partly) The gold on the table is floating. Book1CheapBriefHistoryoftheEmpirev3, F the other one is also floating The planters near the window are partly floating, bleed these a bit into the window-ledge. Resize the drawer and cupboard, so the legs fit on the elevated part of the floor (S) You could do the same with the other shelf (with the apples). Book, on the chest, Re Two of the barrels under the roof are floating. Pathgrid. Look at my remark I made for the basement (sh). NPC. Check "no rumors". AI. StOgAIEdalraInspect, add a radius. STOGEdalraStrayawinSleep, uncheck once a day, because you defined the time. Never change existing packages. In this case the default wander package (aaaDefaultExploreEditorLoc1024). This will affect all the NPC's (in-game) that are using this package. Make sure you delete it. This is called a contamination. Dialogue. You have two greetings for Eldalra. You have to define when they show up. Either use the disposition or chooce "say once" etc. Now, only one greeting will be used. Some advise. If you alter the dialogue, do it always via the quest menu (not in the dialogue window of the NPC), to avoid problems. General Remarks. As this is your first reviewed interior, I listed everything I saw. In order to make you aware of the problems in the reviewed interior. The main thing is: Can it be seen in-game? In this case many can't be seen. There are two kind of modders. One group will fix everything the others only correct the floating etc. that can be seen in-game. Let me know how you think about that, so I could change the reviewing, accordingly. I think there is enough clutter. In the lower right part of CS screen you'll see the faces (face count). For your interior it's 167707. It should be around the 200k and max 300k for an interior of this size. This is important to keep the fps acceptable. As I said before it's a nice interior. ---
Quote:Originally posted by OrcishSexGodAs soon as you know where to look, it will go faster and the floaters will disappear. Most of the new modders have problems with the PG, dialogue and the AI, you don't. :goodjob:

Ok, I'm pretty sure I've fixed everything you listed. I also added a few things.
Now, If you go down to the basement without acquiring a key from Edalra (AKA, you steal the key instead), you won't be welcomed. The beggars will tell you to leave, and you won't be able to sleep or take any items. Once you talk to Edalra and acquire a key properly, you can then go down and talk to them, sleep etc. Edalra will only give you the key if she has a disposition of at least 60, however, so she takes some persuading. |

I checked the interior and it's fine.
You fixed everything! Well done. For the AI. Make sure there is wander package with time and duration set to any. This has to be the last package. The other packages are processed before the wander package and have a higher priorty. The NPC will start to wander when there is no other package active. I fixed a few minor issues (timing and the wander packages). Errors. The "could not find previous info" (screenshot) error has to be removed. I deleted the topic and created a new one with the same info's etc. It's fixed. Contaminations :alert: Work clean so don't switch to other interiors and/or worldspaces. If you do, reload the esp without saving! I am quite skilled in removing many types of contaminations but there is a limit (too time consuming). The Reich Parkeep sewers couldn't be merged because of non-removable contaminations. It's a pity. Keep in mind, if there are too many contaminations, it often creates problems that can't be solved. Result: The file is useless (no merging). In your case there were many contaminations. Look at the screenshots. You altered lights, sounds, furniture, packages etc. Affected worldspaces : Tamriel, CheydinhalWorld and the ICTempleDistrict. Affected cells: Anvil Lghthouse, Steadhelm08 etc. Without cleaning and after merging this interior to the esm, the Silgrad_Tower.esm will alter the Oblivion.esm. The result: Falling people in the cities, there is no land to stand on (screenshot). Esm's may not alter each other. If you want to change something (lights etc.): Create a new object (with your modding ID)! Cleaning your esp. If you're more experienced you could use TES4 PU (which I do). I cleaned the file and it's attached for your reference. --------
The file is ready for merging. You made a very nice interior with interesting NPC's (dialogue). :goodjob: I think you will become a very good modder.

Thanks a lot for the advice. In future ill remember to create new objects instead of editing existing ones... As for contaminating, I should have been more careful. I'm sorry for proving to be a pain in the ass!
Oh, and thanks for cleaning up the mod for me. I didn't actually get that error to do with the topic info, so I was unaware of it's existence. |
