ST Dependant?

Before anyone jumps the gun here, I'm just curious. I think you'll have probably guessed the question, will the mod be ST (Silgrad Tower, not Shivering Isles) dependant?

I know it's not our choice whether or not it would be, it's just because with a lot (if not, all) of our progress (Ald Velothi, Maar Gan, Khuul etc.), they seem to be using ST to mod with. Which begs the question, is this mod going to depend on ST?

Because I was thinking yesterday, it could be a hasstle for players to keep having to download the new versions and updates for ST if we released the mod when it gets near completion because of it depending on ST. I understand TID mentioning something about us importing our assets from ST, so that the mods won't be ST dependant, but for Maar Gan (and other WIP's esps for the mod) this could take ages to import and set up all the assets we've used. This would also relate to the fact of making out Master File.

This may be a crazy idea, and we'd have to ask permission obviously beforehand, would it be a good idea if we copied most of the more commonly used models and assets from the ST files and put them into our own Vvardenfell mod folder, then set up a Master File. Obviously credit would be given to Silgrad Tower team for their work, but this way we wouldn't need to get modders to download ST prior to helping with the Vvardenfell mod.

What d'you guys reckon? If so, we'd need to do this (set up a master file) as quickly as possible.

One other thing to perhaps point out, is Silgrad's use of their private models/assets, if we were allowed to include their assets in our own Master File, wouldn't that leave Silgrad open to people using their private models by simply downloading our mod?

Unless we use a similar method of privatising the assets like ST.

I think so, when the mod is finished, but that will probably be some time.

I wish there was just some way to keep the models from being exported from an esp/esm. (I presume that's what they're worried about.)

if you brought in all the ST files, wouldn't that force people to download the same files 2x (once for ST, and once for Vvardenfell) That's avoided by just using the ST files, so that you only have to download one set of files, and you can mod either ST or Vvardenfell, as well as play either when they come out.
