Should some sort of schedule be set for releases?
I think one of the mistakes TR made was not really publicly releasing anything ever (at least anything other than videos), which caused them to not be able to recruit as many people as they could have... If they had found ways to release things here and there, it would have gotten them more publicity, which would have opened the door for more recruits, which would mean more help...
I'm thinking we should make it a goal to release at least SOMETHING every 3 to 6 months. Maybe put together little preview mods that are like, an appetizer to show some things we've done... Like even though we're working on the entire island of Vvardenfell, we could release a little mod that just contains a tiny island big enough for Seyda Neen and 2 or 3 creatures to give people a taste and muster up more support... The little Seyda Neen island could be released on July 1st... then we could do something else for October... etc... What do you all think?

RE: Should some sort of schedule be set for releases?
we already have an idea for the preview mod, in the main pages, and as for a schedule, we'll have to evaluate the CS and learn it's ins and outs before anything certain can be said
but slowly releasing "episodes" is one of the ideas that we are also doing. The main story in several releases, as well as new factions and content i would think

an intermediate preview wouldn't be bad...
maybe an island that is in its own autonomous region.... with a House or something... with a guide-character that teaches you about stuff... like "oh yes, this is the nix-hound in my cellar, it was made by ____" ...or have plants and armor/weapons, and also some new models, etc. |

We had already talked about releasing some NCPs in Cyrodiil early on, a few Dunmer with a guar and maybe some bonemold armor or Ashlander gear. They'd have dialogue talking up how great their homeland is, thus urging the player to visit Morrowind (including Silgrad and Vvardenfell).
There's also some sort of thread in the main ST forum on making a border city mod for on the road near Skyrim, Rithol or some such name. Anyway, that looks promising to get players into the general Morrowind area and modders onto the main forum, where they can hook up with any of our four or so interlinked projects. For Vvardenfell specifically, perhaps we could produce something like Firemoth as a preview. It shouldn't be hard to place, since it's off the coast of Seyda Neen which needs to be made early on anyway as part of the Bitter Coast. There was the idea that the fortress had been taken over by some sort of mystic bad guys (necromancers, cultists, or some such group), and perhaps we could use them to provide some sort of quest-line in Cyrodill with teleportation to the island. This would serve to get us a little preview quest and a chance to show off one of our revisited locals. That would probably take us through next fall in terms of pre-release hype. |

firemoth.... well, maybe....
see I don't want anything to conflict with a future dreugh mod I want to make... but if a mock-firemoth is what you guys want then fine.... I was thinking more like a little utopia neighborhood..... a mock-morrowind.... a small squarish isle with a Redoran house in the west, to the south a Hlaalu house, to the east a Telvanni, and to the north an ashlanders.... and in the middle is a little red mt., kinda cute if you ask me.... but anyhow the people show off their stuff and say how great it is.... and you know, wear bonemold, have a guar.... maybe even a little quest.... hrug: |

Yeah. The mini-Vvardenfell could work as a teaser. I guess I was just hoping for something that the player would want to keep as more than a preview, you know that we could actually retain as part of our mod later on. That way, it wouldn't be work lost in the long run.
