Silence the Nord
A fun little idea, if it can be done
Nords have the "Shout" thing, some are more powerful than others In this little story you will come to a town and discover via rumor that a very uncivilized Nord has come to town, and though we is a nice guy, he drinks to much, and when he drinks he shouts.. causing all kinds of damage. The player will be tasked with finding a potion of silence (needed) and convincing the Nord to drink it Enjoy Bob

Well, it is posible to make a "Havok-Bomb" that could blast all of the objects that have havok on them in all directions away from it, which could be scripted in as an effect (Though it would posibly cause a frame rate hit).
The potion of Silence would have to be unique, as unfortunatly Oblivion didn't come with the silence and sound oriented spells, potions and effects. It would be funny if the potion was too strong, and the Nord becomes a mute, hehehe... |

Just make a misc item, and when you give it to him he does a drinking animation, then he's silenced.
You can also do a mehrunes dagon custom effect spell with a maginitude of 1 and range of 50, it may work, but someone will get hurt, and try to kill him.

you could probably use the same effect, but negate the damage somehow... I also think there's a spell like that in one of the various modded spell packs (i think by PJ) Something that pushes the havoked things outwards
Muting him is also a problem. You know, a silence spell SHOULD be able to make someone mute for a period (it'd be REALLY useful in the dark brotherhood quests too, i mean it makes sense that someone SILENCED can't YELL for help) Of course that's far far to logical. Can the NPC be created without voice?
Can that voice be scripted ? Can the scripted voice be stopped once the potion is taken ? Enjoy Bob
