Sjors Boomschors' Blacksmith Wheel
This would probably not be the correct thread but I dump it here anyway.
Here is a Black Smith Wheel I made ones and you may use it freely. Screenshot: Download link: http://rapidshare.com/files/218595493/SB...1.zip.html

RE: Sjors Boomschors' Blacksmith Wheel
Quote:Originally posted by Sjors Boomschors It's not, so I separated your post from the other thread into a thread of it's own. Thankyou for your offer. It looks nice and interesting, and is definitely useful. Unfortunately the nifs lack NiTexturingProperties - in other words, they lack uvw maps. This would make the models look purple in-game. I noticed your nifs had a lot of NiTriStrips, which isn't optimal. Ideally there should only be one per material. The fewer NiTriStrips/NiTriShapes a model has, the more optimized it becomes. It becomes easier to work with it in NifSkope as well. - The best and easiest way to optimize the number of strips is to combine the model before it's exported. In 3D Studio Max this is done by converting all the parts into editable meshes, then selecting one of them, and under the Edit Geometry rollout click the "Attach List" button and select all of the parts (that aren't related to collision). Make sure the "Match Material IDs to Material" radio button is selected, as well as the checkbox "Condense Material and IDs" - The second-best alternative is through NifSkope where you first use the menu option Spells > Optimize > Combine Properties and then right-click on the main ninode and choose Optimize > Combine Shapes. Also, your models lack collision, which means players and characters can walk through your model. Here is a video I made that shows how to do it. It's sortof outdated but the basics of setting up collision in 3D Studio Max is still the same. I'd be happy to work with you to add the finishing touches to your models (incl. animation) partly so we can use them and partly so you can release them to the public if you want. I'm kinda stumped without the uvw maps being there though

Razorwing:
You do not have to explain how to make 3D Oblivion models to me; I already know how to do that. I just want you and your team to have the model so you could maybe use it in the mod. I do not plan on doing something with them myself. I have more models: Download Link: http://rapidshare.com/files/218600824/We...l.zip.html

I haven't gotten to know you yet so I checked out the nifs you donated, noted that there were a number of problems with them, and assumed those problems were there because you just weren't aware of them. I'll download the new archive you posted and check them out as well.

The models are still WIP models, I never finished them.

Maybe when I get some spare time I will fix up the models after all.
