Speaking to the Neveriane
I've been giving this some thought, and due to the fact that the character creation in oblivion seems completely void of any story whatsoever, we can safely say with our hands tied, that there is a neverane whom we can converse with who is not (Oh you guessed) your character.
I think he or she should be a dark elf. and involved in a lot of quests. yes I am lame right now and slur of speechs |

i thought we decided that we use a series of conversiations and that way you can figure out who the neveraine really is
example: random: Hey i heard that the neveraine was spotted of the coast, i am sure that thats a rumor. If she was to come, she would make a grand enterance You: 1. Its not a rumor, She is of the coast, on an abbandoned ship i think. 2.The neveraine is here your right, but HE is hiding of the coast, the rumors are true, well according to the scouts.. 3.Sure whatever (this option will follow what ever the NPC decides, in this case the Neveraine is female.) A rought sketch on how it could work. |

Hmm... according to lore, of course, the Nerevarine has vanished along with Vivec. But then again, this is an unoffical mod, and could deal with the Return of the Nerevarine.
And this style reminds me of the way of figuring out Revan's side and gender in KotOR II. |

I'd like to agree with what people have said in the other threads regarding the Nerevarine - leave it out of this mod. If we try to include him/her in our mod, no matter how we end up handling it, it will conflict with people's ideas on some level based on how they played Morrowind or what their general thoughts on the matter are, and take away from their enjoyment of the mod. If we just leave the Nerevarine as a mystery though, no one will mind.

I agree that they should be mentioned. We just shouldn't try to actually portray them at all because there's no way we could get it right. I mean what if someone used a custom race like the Griffin to beat Morrowind when they played? To them, the Nerevarine is a Griffin, so it would just negate their image of them if they appeared as anything else. Also keep in mind that the Nerevarine culd also be a female, so when we reference them we have to try to not be gender-specific ever.

Don't forget other Nerevarine references like the Moon and Star. Using other names then Nerevarine will ad more mystique and character to the Nerevarine without him/her being around.
When you visit Morrowind the Nerevarine should feel like a mythic legendary character. Just like all other TES heroes before him/her.
