Telvanni plans on Vvardenfell - discussion

I'm wondering if it would be possible for the PC to help in the alliance of the the Betmeri, Ashlanders and the Telvanni? It may be more easy for someone not familiar with the main quest to "buy into" the union of these three factions, due to the fact that they performed the actual leg work for it.

I also agree that it would make more sense for the Grazeland Ashlanders to join the Telvanni...but what of the other tribes? Will they form a faction seperate from the Great Houses, b/c I really couldn't see them siding with anyone...unless the Nerevarine (sp?) could be persuaded to join a side?

If this has already been discussed, feel free to ignore me like a red-headed step-child, or just smack me upside the head...its the only way I'll learn.

well that's how I grew up! I remember getting whipped so bad after stealing a bouncy ball from a store... and then "played golf" after failing an important test ...golf ...hehe... and I was the ball! ....o well, good disciplining, but also good way to fuel hatred... :brew:

alright... note, the Nerevarine was neutral... previously discussed in other threads, the Nerevarine has to stay politically neutral in peace-time... cause everyone wants him/her to help his/her faction rise to dominance... especially the Ashlanders... he will be closely followed by Urshilaku and other Ashland Velothi, followers of the Nerevarine Cult... taking a side will get him/her enemies... not taking a side will stall the conflicts for awhile...
the Molag Amur tribes are less likely to ally with anyone, but I feel they are more kindly disposed to Telvanni... after all the Telvanni deal fairly with the Ashlanders in general... not persecuting them, nor taking their lands... only making isolated and remote bases here and there... and often not very big either....
I think Ahemmusa have no choice but to submit to the Telvanni... I think the territory of Tel Vos will serve as a buffer between Grazelanders and the Ahemmusa because young warriors probably wouldn't mind killing the weak Ahemmusa...

currently we'll say that the MolagAmur-ians have a truce with Telvanni stating that they won't attack one another... the Grazelanders are allied to the Telvanni protecting each other, and the Ashlander Tribes follow the Nerevarine...

I have a quest idea:
maybe there is unrest within the ranks of the Bosmeri Archer mercenaries cause these wood elves are provided with smaller rations than they would get from hunting back at home... and their pay is smaller now due to the fact the Telvanni are spending more money getting Telvanni warriors from the mainland, training more mercenaries, etc.
one of the Bosmer Archer companies threatens to have a rebellion in Sadrith Mora if they do not get a pay-raise and better rations....

one of the haughty Telvanni wizards responds by saying that since they are cannibals, why don't they eat each other?
the Bosmer respond by closing off their mercenary camp on the northern tip of Sadrith Mora isle, and are getting ready to attack Sadrith Mora... and so one of the Telvanni quests can be....

Quell the Rebellion
Persuade the Bosmer watchman to let you into the mercenary camp. Tell them that you want to see their Hireling Captain. The Bosmer captain will try to intimidate you, don't worry, just deliver the ultimatum...
basically, if they don't open up and settled for the temporary drop in rations and pay:
(here are your options to say)
1. the Telvanni will use Khajit mercenaries instead
2. The Telvanni will send warriors to kill them
3. they can all be starved to death....
4. Bribe him till he agrees

he will reply:
1. fine, bring the Khajit and let us battle!
2. what are you going to do with dead Bosmer? we are the best archers on Tamriel!
3. starve?!?! are you trying to say...

you can reply:
1. Alright, you have sealed your doom
2. Dead Bosmer? no, but we can use undead Bosmer!
3. you can eat each other if your rations go low....

option 2 and 4 will work since these are mercenaries, they like gold... and they don't want to be undead...
Khajit and starvation will only make them angry and you'll end up killing one of 3 Bosmer companies of the Telvanni.... the Khajit option will give you several Khajit warriors to help attack the Bosmer and wipe them out....
the starvation option... well Telvanni guards will be placed outside of arrowshot and within 30 days, they will all be dead....

Sounds okay. So should I place a small fort a little way from Sadrith Mora when Im planning it?

not exactly a fort... a small camp with about 4-5 huts with a telvanni vine wall thing... with wooden walls too

I like this quest idea, and the fact that it already has some dialogue written (albeit minor) instead just vague ideas about who says what. Eventually, all quests will need to be dialogued, but right now it just makes it look more polished.

NIce ideas but i have been thinking in sadrith mora the daedric ruin should be like the Telvanni Monster Lab in Vivec where they are trying experiments torturing and all others kinds of dummer acts. But when you said Tel Aruhn should house the Betermeri i dont think that would be great because they would walk to their barracks and see their brothers stuck in cages. How about Tel mora?
