can we please get back on-topic?
I hate having to keep reminding you... [/hr] basically my idea is... Vivec reforms the Temple and everything and increases his power and control over the Temple in order to focus its efforts on helping the people of Vvardenfell. a fanatical cultish Imperial-base Helseth sponsored anti-Temple knightly organization or some sort of Helseth-sponsored enemy comes in and the Temple is in dire straits... (IF this is after the Great House War) then the factions and Houses are tired and it is up to the Temple... but Vivec's "good side" decides to make cease-fire with his enemies and asks the pardon of the 6th House... and together the Temple and 6th House are able to destroy the invaders.... and Vvardenfell and Morrowind are left in a state of shock... the most debatable parts are... the way to begin it, the details of the invaders, the way 6th House gets accepted, and the way to end it... |

And my basic idea is:
After Vivec is done with his campaign against Molag Bal, a trial about Vivec's murder of Nerevar is proposed, and he agrees to be tried. Scholars suggest summoning Azura. Vivec requests the shadow of one scholar, and sends off other scholars to look for three other objects; these items are supposedly to be used as gifts to the Prince of Dawn and Dusk. On Hogithum Day, after Azura is summoned, Vivec uses the objects to banish Azura and seal it in its realm of Oblivion, and he achieves the goal he had set in the beginning: CHIM. Everyone at the Trial is in shock (except maybe for Vivec's strongest, as he apparently knew of the plan the whole time) at seeing Vivec's true colors. After the unlawful occurrences at the Trial of Vivec, Morrowind's legitimate rule is no more. Rumors spread about the Trial. All of Morrowind is in shock. Factions begin to battle for control. I think we are thinking of two very different stories...
I am thinking of Vivec being an active part on Vvardenfell... he wants to have a crusade against Molag Bal, he wants to limit Helseth's power, he wants to bring back many traditions which the Temple and Nine Divines stamped out. He wants to reconcile with those he has wronged. And after he has set things straight, he will finally let go of authority in Vvardenfell and let his free, whimsical Vehk wander... and no longer be chained to authority anymore... your idea is to have him have a campaign against Molag Bal and then be put to trial and reflect what happened in the RP right? ...and he then attains CHIM? I don;t see why he does but I see that it is possible... you seem to be thinking more of a mythic style... sorta more of Vivec fulfilling a mythic goal... I think the main difference is that I have Vivec fulfilling his wordly goals wheras you have him fulfilling more of his mythic goals with daedra and chim and stuff... maybe we can have it all... it will be like a three part saga (mquest) of Vivec... like The Last Days of Vivec... a three part saga.... in order but it doesn't matter what comes in between... like first he reforms things... then he pardons 6th House when the land is confronted by a great threat... and lastly his trial.... and the Great War may occur between the reforms and the great threat? |

Quote:Originally posted by KuKulzARead the aftermath part of the Trial of Vivec... the participants say Vivec performed and achieved CHIM. Vivec pardoning the Sixth House just doesn't make any sense. And, he's not trying to decline and revert things... he's inclining for his greatest moment, achieving CHIM. |

Quote:Originally posted by KuKulzAIt takes away/distracts from Vivec's powerful image. Dunno how to describe it... in his case, it just does... it's basically a bit of submission. Doing wrongs or letting wrongs continue isn't necessarily the only path to CHIM, or those might not really have anything to do with CHIM as they have to do with others and not yourself. However, it IS certain that it is one way of achieving CHIM or has nothing to do with it at all, as demonstrated at the conclusion of the Trial of Vivec. but isn't submission a way to achieve higher being?
I think it is fitting for Vivec to earn his CHIM not by banishing Azura and all but by atoning for his sins and being a better being |

The Vehk side of Vivec/Vehk can do things for the love of his people, but not to get rid of his regret. MK said that the Trial of Vivec is lore canon (though it apparently didn't happen in the official timeline, so I would assume he meant that the portrayal of Vivec is canon). |

I think we should show both sides... in like a sort of Vivec epic... he does this... he does that... etc. etc.... and eventually CHIM

Quote:Originally posted by KuKulzANot in a submission way, though... that just wouldn't be continuous with the Trial of Vivec part. Some things, most things, or everything he does prior to the Trial should have some sort of "bad" side to them, but very subtle and obscure (you won't realize it's not wholly good unless you really think about it). That way, the events at the Trial would be like "what the hell?", but somehow make sense after reflecting on everything that went on before; whereas, if Vivec was submitting, the Trial's occurences would be coming way out of left field. |
